I am Tom.. I recently got my M1 and got rid of my car. I bought an 02 gsxr 600. I grew up riding dirt bikes since I was a wee lad, and have ridden a few of my buddies ss bikes. I've always wanted one so I went for it.

All I have to do now is insure it..which I already know is going to empty my pockets being a new rider and under 25, but thats the way she goes. It sucks but what can I do.

If anyone under 25 riding SS bikes want to recommend a broker or company that has half decent rates for under 25 please do so..I am going to try duffy tomorrow, hopefully I can get an alright rate because I CANT WAIT TO RIDE!!!!! See you on the street:p
 
Try TD and State Farm they will give you rates in 5 mins. Many of the others won't underwrite someone under 25 in a ss.

Welcome aboard Tom. If you have over 5 years of licensed driving experience, you could still get in with State Farm. Just check out the insurance specialists on this forum and talk to the ones with SF. It shouldn't be much over a G.

Yea I want to go state farm but ill only be coming up on my 5th year in August..I dont think I can wait that long haha..boo

In that case you better be the Dougie Houser of the business world or have FILTHY rich parents that are as generous as they're rich :cool:
 
Hey bud, Nordique or Facility Insurance will give you the cheapest rates you can ever find in Ontario, I was in your shoes and researched a whole lot, go for Nordique

would you happen to have a number for a broker to go through nordique?

Oh another thing..I just called rosey toes to get a safety but hes got no certificates? Anyone know anybody else that will come to me and safety the bike? I live in the East York area.
 
Just got off the phone with a lady from duffy..Lol $4400 a yea paid up front just liability. Right now that is my only option but I am definitely willing to take a look at others!!
 
Duffy gave me one of the highest quotes of the dozen I got. My final quote was more than 4 times less.

Sweeeet so the weekend it looks like im getting my bike on the road its sposta rain all friggin weekend. I can only hope for the best.

I am waiting for 2 calls back on quotes, From Holman Ins. brokers and cornerstone. I've called a around and looked but its looking like Duffy or one of those two if they come back with a cheaper than 4 gs quote. Fingers crossed!
