Can you tell me why?
I did consider Aprilia but someone told me they're on the verge of bankruptcy and most likely moved their production facility offshore. I do plan to keep this bike for years.

No, the Hypermotard is nowhere near a true Supermoto. It's over 100lbs to heavy, costs a fortune to fix if you drop it and has an engine way to big. I rode a Supermoto and have the Hyper and they are FAR apart. The only resemblance between a Hyper and a real Supermoto is it's styling. Front beak and dirt bars.
Go take a look. I'm quite serious.
LOL, I'm just messing with you I know how much you like the Ape and take every opportunity to say so. It's all good. I really enjoyed Neil Grahams (Cycle Canada) write up of the naked Aprillia. I know I would love to ride a bike like that, as he describes it. I just can't allow myself to go down that road. I have a very watered down version of that type of bike, a Buell Cyclone. Makes about 1/2 power of the Aprillia but sounds like thunder. Good enough for me.![]()
Got room for 2? The Aprilia Buell combo's quite nice![]()

Have you ever ridden anything faster than your ninja 250 OP ?
