Help me choose, MV F4 or HP4 or 1199 Panigale R

A classic of jealousy from grade school?

Do you ask every GTR driver " hey do you have a driving skill to match the car? " I'm sure that would get you far in life. Stop dissing my skills because i rode a ninja250.

Its not really the same thing.

1000cc supersports are insane

If your looking for reliability then you're missing out on 99% of bikes.
And don't go down on a hp4. The electronics on it cost a pretty penny to fix including the throttle.

Doesnt my insurance cover it ?

Who says I don't ride a 250. Driving skill and riding skill are very different. **** up in a car and you have a dinged bumper. **** up on a bike and you're dead. 1 season on a 250 is not enough experience to be able to handle a litre bike.

I agree. I'm not here to argue about riding skills tho.

They will write it off and you'll have a lovely at fault on your record. Therefore giving Ontario insurance an excuse to anally rape you for 6 years.

Limited production bike
If you want one rly bad
Start going to dealers and dropping deposits at all of them
At this moment they are all spoken for
So unless someone decides to drop out ur SOL

For now you can enjoy looking at mine

So mean.....

Sorry but it is what it is
If u want the hp4
U need to start looking now
And be ready to drop deposits
Or just get S1000rr
From what I heard 2015 s1000rr
Will come with same features as hp4

If you're in love with the sound of a straight 4 then get the BMW. Any of your other choices won't sound anything like the bimmer/Japanese bike.
A guy I work with bought a ducati monster mainly because of insurance costs (wanted a cbr600rr) and when he picked it up, he hated how it sounded. He didn't under stand why it didn't sound like a high pitched sport bike.

If you're plan is to putter around the street twice a week than it really doesn't matter what you get, it will never be pushed to its limits anyways.

guys stop picking on the riding skill
my first bike was a ducati 848 just 2 years ago
and guess what im still here and now i got an HP4
bike i started on was 2005 ZX10
some ppl just have it in them some dont

But how well do you ride? Just sit there and turn throttle or actually try to be a better skilled rider?

Don't these fancy bikes have rider aids and rain modes, abs and such? Sure they do. They've got stiff frames, great suspension, gumball tires, life saving mufflers and fully rotational throttles. They will only go as fast as you ask, what's all the sturm and drang about then? Ride it like you didn't steal it.

The sky's been falling since 1978 when, as a teenager, I got a Z1900 with 36mm damper rod forks, 4 inch wide skidmasters, noodle frame c/w hinge, no brakes, you know...1970's superbike. Riding impaired encouraged and applauded. Surely the 21st century man can do no worse.

Yup, it is true that bikes do not have to be as dangerous as they used to be. It is not the same problem, but a different one. A Z900 may not do quite what you ask it to, if you are riding it hard. The superbikes of today will generally do exactly what you ask them to, but not afford you the time to take the request back if you asked it to do something stupid.

The only comment that I have for this is - if you're burning $40K on a motorcycle, consider investing an extra G or two in some rider training. I personally guarantee it will make your bike go even faster.

Dude, just the get the bike you like the best, comparing the 3 or 4 you mentioned for what you want it for is useless. Just be frank with yourself and say, I want to look good, I want to feel elite, I want to be looked at and held to a higher standard by noobs and people who don't know me as I ride by.
Nothing wrong with that.
So, other than Giuseppe really f'n up in Turino, none of your bikes are going to stop working and leave you stranded on the side of the road.

to answer your question go for the 1199 Panigale R ...

... you seem to have done your reading / watching reviews on said bikes.... asking a forum will give you different answers due to brand loyalty and personal preference... go for what you want whether its the look, sound, colour or riding position...

my personal advice, all are great bikes and moving up from a ninja 250 ( my first bike, now on a gixxer 600 ) all is gonna blow your socks off... no matter which you choose PLEASE take some kind of riding school to get your moneys worth. Buying a bike at those prices and only using it in the streets with minimal experience you wont get your $$$ worth... unless its all about flashy show off factor then bravo...

hope you get the bike you want , enjoy it and keep the shiny side up

Out of those three, pick up the RSV4. If you're not dead set on a litre bike and have no intentions of tracking, why not a Daytona 675 or Duc 848?
