I mean on 1 hand, at least he is giving thought to trying or acknowledge there is a issue with food supply and affordability, where no one else is.

On the other, this service would just be plundered as any other gov run initiative and would be financially raped as per usual.

But, but, imagine if we had that 1 billion wasted on the Eglinton LRT, that would cover something like this and more easily....
That is the cost of gov waste and lack of accountability right there.

BTW there is already a grocery store employee union. But I think you know it.

Private sector unions and public sectors unions are on entirely different levels imo. While a private sector union fights for their members, they realize that there is a limit to how much blood they can draw. Public sector unions have no limit, they know their host can't die and the pool is infinite so you might as well take every drop.

Josh Matlow is doing his normal hand wringing. He is worried that the expansion of the island airport will affect affordable housing in the portlands and so he is pushing for an expedited useless study. He is a Karen of epic proportions. Toronto residents need to get off their ***** and start firing politicians that waste epic amounts of money and never do anything useful.

In a letter to the City's Planning and Housing Committee, councillor Josh Matlow requested that City staff study "the prospective impact on future housing supply of expanding the flightpath at Billy Bishop Airport."

Seems like a stall tactic to be a thorn in the side of Dougy.

Somehow I feel that Chow made a deal with Dougy, when the province took over ownership of the gardnier, he also got dev rights (priority etc) to the waterfront.

Toronto can waste all the money they want. It won't stall anything. Airports are under federal authority. Municipalities exist and have powers at the whim of the province. No study he could spend taxpayers money on will alter the path chosen by those above in the least. It just drives up taxes for the residents.
