no lie, nothing scares me more in the mirror than somebody that looks 70+ years old
Good tip. I just stay in blocking position and keep monitoring my mirrors, but it's probably not enough.
Thing is, it's not uncommon for drivers, who clearly don't know about blocking, to gesture for me to ride in the centre of the lane.
So did you end up reporting it? I'd take it to reputable Yamaha shop and ask for their estimate (like Oakville Yamaha). Insurance will fight tooth and nail - my buddy got screwed recently, he got baby LandRover, was clipped on the hwy by some ******. Car was less then 3 weeks old, rear quarter and some cosmetics - Budds was ready to replace everything with new parts and insurance insisted on fixing and painting (parts are expensive for his car). Sucks to see pretty girl like FZ6 gunned from behind like that.I injured my back by the way, but that was only after the accident when me and other people were trying to pull the bike off the car lol
So, I'm OK =)
Regarding repairs, I will follow "don't fix if it ain't broken" method, and go that way. I will get it checked thoroughly for sure though.
Also, collision centre pretty much laughed at me when I tried to report the thing. They told me not to worry no matter how much I tried to tell them about the possible invisible damage.
Half the time bikes get written off for some damaged plastics. Depends on the value of the bike and cost of the parts.Subframes are generally a bolt on item why would that cause a write off? They are not that expensive.

For those of you who keep saying get his insurance to pay. This is a no fault insurance system on Ontario. The other guys insurance does not pay to fix your bike your insurance company pays to fix it!

Awe... my old bike! Glad your OK man.
It hurts to see it like that.
