Got a "new to me" Ducati Monster

One think i noticed,, lots torque and when you are in a traffic jam gotta ride the clutch quite a bit... I cant just let clutch out and ride at 5 km an hour when the traffic is crawling...

Is that the deal with all minsters
Ducati gears their bikes a bit high to pass noise standards. Most people go up 3 on the rear or down one on the front.Makes them much more rideable in the city.

Lol lol yes that is the deal, welcome to the club. The way I look at it is the bike is telling you "wtf you riding me so slow?" Pure character.
There alot of good monster forums online. Check them out

:-)

Yeah saw a few that i signed up for last night...

Yes.
Non adjustable forks. I had new Biturbo springs and rear shock installed this year.
What a difference!

Ya the fronts are soft and I bottom out over big bumps like sewers. I'm about 200lbs. The shocks are weighted for a 150lbs italian dude in italy somewhere lol.
Need to swap out the front springs kit but not sure where to get them. I checked racetech but couldn't find them.
I noticed you have the termi kit. That usually smooths out the fueling pretty good. I'M thinking bout a 14 tooth front sprocket change.

Yeah i like the termi, it backfires a but but not that bad. I want to get the termi put a little bit lower, i noticed on youtube
Some termis are more angled from the cat and sit lower on the side of the bike.. Not sure if thAt makes sense?

I weigh 190-210 so i hear ya!

I have also have the leo vince for the monster, mot sure if its appropriate fir your model and year? Buy if you are interested i will give you a good price. I was going to put them on classifieds

What do you mean the termi smooth out the fueling?

If you have the dp ecu installed then that should help smooth things out. Termi kit for current gen monster includes ecu and air filter.

+3 teeth on rear sprocket makes a huge difference.

What he said. Not sure if the oldrr gen monster like your s2r came with a new ecu but mine did.

Thanks for the offer on the exhaust but I have the termi kit on mine and love every minute of it. No baffles

Diesel, is your termis hooked up to the catalytic or are you running straight to the mid pipe?
