Goodbye 250!

What did you do ....grow??? :D

Look around online....BMWs are long term runners....buddy here has one similar ( twin ) in the same year range and it's lovely.
Hey my 2004 KLR is running sweeter than ever.
And consider the price...

What ever u do don't get a 400r they only made em for a year for a reason lol plus the power to weight blows
Its pretty much a 650r with a 400 motor in it .
I raced my buddies camaro (drag strip) he was running a bored out engine, swapped out headers, everything done up with some decent tires and I still won on a stock ninja 400r. Tell me more how the 400r has a **** power to weight ratio. It's perfectly fine for the street and I still have so much fun on it...

By the bikes this guys looking at it looks like he can care less about power to weight.

I did the Iron Butt 1000, a 2,000km camping trip, and put 27,000km on my 250 in 3 seasons....power to weight isn't something at the top of the priority list! LoL Just need a bike that's got some fun in it, and has enough power to take my wife and I for a ride once in a while (250 did that too but not as comfortable!)

I wish...I got lighter with less hair up top but that's about it...

I read a motorcycle magazine review that was able to put a positive spin on the 400, so somebody likes them. I think they get the bikes for free tho.
I love mine. And I'm the kind of dude who would admit if I knew something was pure trash. The bike is great.

If you're looking for long trip bikes I would stray away from a 400 because you're at like 6k in 6th gear going 100. If you want something to boot around a couple times a week or a good commuter, then I would look more into it. It's treated me just fine over the years

Too bad they don't make an ER4-N here in North America :( I believe Europe had one though...they get all the fun stuff :(

people that talk **** about a 400r has never riden one in their life. Bikes are design to add +400 pounds on the bike, so im not sure how the other poster things the frame is too heavy.

The weight probably makes the bike 0.001% slower.

I put 25000km on a 2009 FZ6R. I really liked it. Even did a couple track days. I think its a great step for you from a 250. It will do 200KM/hr and is almost bomb proof. I didn't have to fix one thing. No way would I buy the Kawi. Esp the ER6N. No fairing is a PITA for hwy miles.

I've ridden the 400 a few times and while not a bad ride yet a ninja 300 is a much better ride.. Why do you think they only made the bike for a year..

Yeah i know, was trying to make a point lol....because they realized what garbage the 400 was lol.

They sold very few cause the price difference was probably very small.

plus this is North America....more cc = bigger penis

Yeah i know, was trying to make a point lol....because they realized what garbage the 400 was lol.

its not due to just weight they optimized on the motor... The other guy was talking **** like weight played a big role in why its slow...

Yeah if I remember it was only $1500 less than the 650 .

insurance is probably the reason people bought a lower ccc version. the jump from 500cc to 600cc on a bike is huge insurance (except for state farm, but state farm requires G drivers), esp for new riders
