Good luck to those that rode today...

just looked out my office window and yup, there's snow! I almost thought about riding this morning..then thought maybe I could tomorrow..but I think I'm done. Wanted to get in one December day.

What, you guys didn't ride today?

Wussies!!!

This is Canada you're supposed to ride in snow and -40 temps.

Richmond Hill is all white (not people but the landscape).

No thanks! I'll drive for 2 more weeks.......in 16days I'll be riding my bike in Jamaica in 30+...

I just dont enjoy doing anything in the cold, and I dont rely on my bike for transportation..Riding is purely recreational since about 5 years now....Before then I would be riding today, because id have no other choice besides the buss. And that sucks even more the cold weather riding...

I was hoping for that too, but with snow comes salt and I just don't think it's worth it. I know salt isn't the end of the world and it's not going to destroy my bike, but I just choose not to ride in those conditions.

It wont destroy it, but it can really do a number on some parts..Especially this new liquid stuff....I had to trailer my bike on an open trailer last winter, and a 10 min drive resulted in almost every fastener on my bike corroding....

If you do ride, try to wash off the salty film ASAP.....

They didn't lay down any salt or brine today, did they?

Does anyone know any sites to watch for that information?

I'm planning on riding to work in an hour.

Went for a ride and saw 0 salt trucks, also saw one other rider on what looked to be an older ninja 250 :)

Am I the only one that has no problem riding at temps that low? Last year including windchill I rode at -39c.

It just started snowing pretty good in Mississauga, already looking like the commute home is going to be a disaster for 4 wheels...

I love how it is a disaster every year, as if people are taken by surprise that snow and ice on the ground make driving a bit different then on nice warm pavement. In Kitchener its not bad, some white on the ground, but the temperature is hovering at 0. Could be much much worse.

Oakville is all clear. saw snow for all of 15 min. which didnt stay on the ground at all. all clear now. little chilly but the sun is out.

I rode today it was no problem at all, just got home the snow is all gone and the roads are dry here in south etob. It was a mini blizzard around noon when i was at work but you could see it was melting as soon as it hit the ground. The ride home was actually really nice, sun is out, it's pretty windy with some gusts but that just makes it more fun :)

Tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be a degree or two warmer so i'll be riding the rest of the week for sure, still aiming for my goal of riding until the Dec bike show or until some real snow and ice stay on the ground whichever comes first.
