Good luck to those that rode today...

Practice what you preach?

And open a new thread, good one champ.

Yes i practice what i preach. I have always maintained that i will ride in any temperature, so long as there is no snow or ice on the roads. And today there wasn't, just a few flurries which quickly melted. Champ.../troll

ItIsWhatItIS you are what your are, you know you are trolling and baiting and the rest of us do as well. Enjoy what time you have left on this board.

BTW, does anyone have troubles starting their bike in this degree of weather or lower? I'm too paranoid to leave my bike outside for more than 3-4 hours. By then, she barely wants to turn over. Probably even worse if it hits -5 or lower.

That means it's time for a new battery...

Is your bike carburated? I'm not too familiar with the GS500's so not sure... but on my Ninja 250R, the bike would sometimes struggle to start in sub-zero temperatures, particularly if it'd been outside for more than a few hours. Practically guaranteed I'd have to have the choke completely closed to get her to start. The FI bikes don't seem to have this issue. If it won't turn over at all though, as per another post, your battery may be nearing the end of its useful life too.
