Getting a bike from Quebec without lisense

My situation is unique and I couldnt find any details on it,I don't have a motorcycle
license in Ontario but I do have a g2. I saw a bike
from Quebec which I want and I can't let it go since it's such a good offer, it's from a private seller so can I just buy it, get a bill of sale, and ownership(idk how ownership is transferred in Quebec all the websites says I need to show my license which I don't have)and tow it to my garage and just leave it there until I get my m2 exit(which will take at least 3 months)and then go to service Ontario and register it and get a plate? Is this possible or am I missing something? Is there like a time limit for registration?
If anyone has done anything similar could you please point me on how to achieve this!
Essentially I want to tow it to my garage and then get my m2 within the next 3 months and then go register the bike.
Thanks in advance!

You do not need a license to register a vehicle in your name.
Rent a bike trailer from U-Haul. They are cheap.
Go buy the bike. Go to service Ontario and register. Either fit or unfit depending on if you have a saftey. You will have to pay taxes on the sale price at this time.

Be careful, things that are too good to be true usually are.

Quebec allows salvage and rebuilt titles. Ontario does not. If it is either of those, it will never go on Ontario roads.

Lots of threads on this.....

So can I just get safety later like when I have my m2 in 3 months? Or do I need it within a certain time limit after purchase? And how do I find out if it's rebuilt or salvage?

I believe technically to transport a motorcycle in Quebec you need civil insurance on the motorcycle. You also need a snowflake on your tires up to a certain time of year so that could be an issue if pulled over. Quebec deems the bike being transported as being on the road? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes an unplated bike needs to be in an enclosed trailer

I just picked up my 1980 Moto Guzzi V50 in Montreal a few weeks ago.
I had the owner send an email of the registration to me and I checked with
Service Ontario in Napanee and was advised there would be no issue registering it in Ontario.
I am having it certified May 26 and then will transfer ownership.
The bike was transported in a rental van but the odds of being stopped to check registration of a bike in a trailer is slim.
Just don't speed or go near a Tim Hortons.
However I was once stopped with to off rode bike on a trailer because they where on the look-out for a stolen BSA chopper.
Back then there was no Blue/Green plate designation and the bikes had no registration.
One look at the motorcycles and I was sent on my way.
I see no reason why you need a M licence to register a motorcycle un-plated.
You just can't ride it or get it insured.
The reason they ask for your drivers license is to verify who you are. But i could be wrong!
If the person selling it does not have proof of ownership and ID to match WALK AWAY!

As others have said, this deal is technically possible. Flashing red lights and alarm bells going off though. A lot of broken hearts (and wallets) after deals too good to be true from quebec. There are at least a few threads detailing the process and how it can go wrong. Good luck.

Thanks for all the useful info guys! Much helpful.
I have one more question, I don't need to go to Saaq in Quebec right? I just need a bill of sale and filled out transfer of ownership form from the seller(I think he just fills out the green card with his and my info under transfer and tears me the transfer side of the card right?) do I need anything else? Also the seller only has to call Saaq and remove his name from ownership and that's it? We both don't know anything about selling so ha ha.

Read the quebec threads. There is a process. I haven't done it but I think you need to transfer it to you in QC and pay tax, then transfer it to you in ON and claim back QC tax. Do it wrong and you can be left with a bike you cant register.
