This. I'm guilty of giving him a hard time too. But I am very much a "run what ya brung" kinda guy. I'll consider myself lucky if I can get the kind of miles he has under his belt. Oh, and Australia? I'm soooo jealous.
If you watch for awhile, you'll notice he contributes a lot of knowledge to this site, as well as some killer rides/routes.

Quite frankly I'd be happier posing at Timmies than dealing with this Category 5 about to arrive.
..first time for a cyclone/hurricane for me...my house mates are of course old hands at this. Fortunate I got up to Cooktown last week...maybe do a repeat on teh ST this time...see the damage.
Back up to a Cat 2 for us - it's the people to the north that are about get to get seriously hammered.....we'll all get drowned of course.
YOU at least can still ride....
I'll have to crawl through the mud at some point just to retrieve mine
The eye at least has lost some organization...that's good
20" of rain coming and the poor buggers to the north of us are just going to get hammered....285kph +
Luckily not many people there.
Both bikes are in hiding beside the house - had to crawl under the mirror to get out - that will be fun in the mud getting them out.
besides.....the lovelies ain't on a Burgman 650....poor taste....cute tho.

Yes they are. Edit before you crucify me with your burgman knowledge - the bike has burgman 650 executive on it. Sure looks like a burgman.

Left swingarm cover would be the giveaway. I've taken it off enough times to know; the foam backing is always nasty dirty. The geared final drive is located inside.
Sorry for giving you a hard time about the scoot, apparently you're not the only one who digs 'em!

Colour me confused - is it a burgman or not. Given it's branded as such, and if it isn't it makes me think of this exchange:
Malone: OK, pal, why the mahaska? Why are you carrying the gun?

A GIS would have been quicker, but yes, it's a 650. It's the only Burgman with a geared final drive in the swingarm. I think Aprilia or Piaggio has a model with a similar setup, but it's not very common for whatever reason.
Riding a scooter is like the special olympics. Everybody around you makes it sound like you're the best ever, but thats only cause they feel bad for you.
