Sorry for your mishap, could have bee worse i suppose. How about a vfr? for you rnext bike a 5th gen seen some great deals and a great tourin gbike as well.

That really sucks. I rode through there about 3 weeks before you. There is a lot of wildlife in the mountains. I missed a black bear near Castlegar on the way back by about 30 m which is plenty close to a bear. I came fairly close to a deer east of Hope and that was mid morning.

Heal up and get your new ride. Better luck on the eastern trip. Try the Gaspe, it's amazing.
