Wow! Now that's a packing job and a half!

I like the way you're going for the brownie points with the opp emblem for any potential popo situations

Family on opp with patches works wonders :p.
Eating out, Camping, and motels.

I have an 5L jerry can incase I run out of gas.

I am going through the states on the way there.. So the prairies won't be a problem untill on the way back. I will post a link for my route, don't know why I didn't.

...

I'm just sitting a Swiss Chalet in Sault Ste Marie right now on my phone. Ill do an offical up date when I get back to my room and have my tablet and wi-fi.
Was on the road for about 9 hour, and it feels great to be out on the open road. The bike is running well and handling the extra weight wonderfully. It was a beautiful day today! Only got about 30seconds of torrential rain just south of Sudbury other than that beautifull sunny skies and not much traffic to interfere.

definitely subscribing to this thread, can't wait for updates/pics!

Ride safe

Sounds like an awesome trip! Good luck and ride safe! Looking forward to some good pics!

Did you avoid taking a backpack?? just curious.
Good luck.

Yes, I have no back pack... Don't think it would fit either, not much room behind my seat for me let alone a back pack lol

That is awesomely well packed! Do you do these rides often? How do you prepare mentally... the last time I went through the prairies it was kinda insane riding at night.

Nice packing job and the bike looks well prepares. Those PR3s are fantastic for what you'll be doing and will give you confidence in the rain. Love the red 30 litre MEC drybag which I use for touring as well. Looking forward to your updates as the trip progresses. Be safe.

Crazyness!! I don't know anybody who tours on a SS bike! Are you tall/have long arms? I find my neck gets cramped after a few hours. I can try to sit upright but I can only go so far as my arms aren't that long. In fact I can't even hit the back of the seat when stretching out.
