Lesson learned... braked enough to get away with minor stuff.. we'll see tomorrow at the doctors.

Lesson #1 - Target fixation, super dangerous and hard to avoid.
Lesson #2 - Need lots of patience and EQ for riding

Ouch...

Watch/read Twist of the Wrist 2. Cornering Bible.

Hope you didn't get hurt badly though, get well soon!

Do you want us to send Sabex over to hug you?
Look at meeee, I fell down and thought I would tell everyone but omit information that could be helpful for other to learn from.
Obviously you are not hurt that badly if you are waiting until tomorrow to see a/your Doctor.

Why does everyone feel the need to post about their first crash?

This is a forum, usually used to post things. Crazy i know...

Did you join the Scarborough ride?

I dunno either, but I consider it a good thing. A lot of inexperienced riders never live through their first one.

At least you sound like you're learning from it, OP.

Avoiding target fixation IS a learned practice - think about it: why focus on the things you have to avoid, when you should be focusing on where you need to go? You do it under normal circumstances without even thinking about it; so if you practice being more aware of focusing on your path/line when its not important, you'll find yourself doing it when it does become extremely important.

Personally I want to hear about accidents around here because it gives me something to think about, or play in my head how I would try to avoid the same fate. Having said that....OP....what happened? And what did your doctor tell you? You gonna live?

Haha, you guys are such jokers... no I wasn't hurt badly and I rode home after. The last thing I would be doing is posting about if I was hurt badly

Just a fracture, thanks for asking. Bike is in worst condition.

I'm posting about it because its something I want to share with the community, thought it would be an interesting read. And yea, an e-hug sounds nice :D

EQ = Emotional Quotient

Good to hear you're ok. Bike can be fixed.

Like that couple on a GSXR600 in Burlington last weekend. Sure, let's just allow anyone to ride a >100hp bike.

Scared to ask but did you know the rider? How do we know it was inexperience on a >100hp bike. I know many that have started on ss bikes and they've been riding for years with no issue. I just had my first oops since 1994 and I've owned nothing but ss bikes. There's a lot of other variables that can factor into a new person crashing any kind of bike. That's why I think threads like this aren't a bad idea. There's enough to get new people who read them thinking about it for the next time they're out riding.
