Fall colours

I went out on Monday to the Kingston area.

North of Hwy7 the colours were pretty sparse, but south of Hwy7 there’s some nice pockets of colour.

Always seem to end up on some rocky dirt road.

Didn’t have enough time to make it up to Wilno for pierogies, but did pass through Poland.

South Lavant Road, Arden Road and Burnt Hills road were awesome as usual.

Hey @shanekingsley was that dirt road on your route, or something you found along the way?
It was only 2km long!
And the gps suggested it to me to save 10 seconds on my route. It looked like it might lead somewhere interesting so I took it. Had some big puddles too that covered the whole trail, so I felt very adventurous!

Is S. Lavant construction complete? Hoping to head that way Monday if the weather is good.

A nice scenic dirt road you should try next time you're out that way is Canoe Lake Rd that runs off Bedford Rd.
Bedford Rd from the south end onto Canoe Lake Rd, then Burridge Rd up to 36 and take 36 to 7 is a nice mix of roads that never seem to be busy.

Awesome - I know the one you're talking about as I've seen it on the map and always thought I should check it out. Will do next time.

Favourite time of the year to ride. No pics to share but, the cool weather allows to gear up and the machine seems to run best with cooler temps.

Get out there while you can. Typically the wind and rain strips the trees of its foliage and colours.

I usually do a ride up Shelter Valley Rd. From Grafton, a ride around Rice Lake and lunch at The Rhino in Bewdly or Muddy’s in Keene. The brisket at Muddy’s is to die for, one of the best I’ve ever had. This would be the perfect weekend to do that ride.

Rode to Flecthworth ,NY past Sunday

Border was busy both ways , 20 -25 mins delay(tell that to people who think nobody is travelling to US :) ).

Colors are pretty much gone, but it was very busy, with north side entrance closed off due to no parking available.

Colour was nice around Shelburne were we camped but had runnit's course through the Beaver Valley.

Tuesday night around the campfire we could feel a heavy frost set in. And see it plainly on the bike seat. No worries the new bag kept me warm.

Try Codeman's BBQ food truck across from the Foodland in Cobourg. The guy who started Yorkie's bbq (also in Cobourg) sold it and opened the food truck.
