Maybe it’ll work this time….Good lord, WHY?
More like WHERE? I don't recall a bicycle path along the forks.
That is probably why they got there, and ignored all the BIG signs stating do not enter....Dont they have googlemaps for tractor trailer?
Name of charged driver omitted from any reports I’ve seen.Indian?
So far there are only charges. I assume (which is dangerous) that like normal drivers/insurance that license/insurance consequences only come into play after conviction. The guy is 65 years old. Drag out the court case until you are ready to retire. If the current company wants to cut him free, he can probably get picked up somewhere else.I wonder if someone keeps their job after something like this. I know it's a mistake, but really... this is too much.
I was thinking the same thing. Wtf are they going to do at the sign? Back up a km or more to get to an intersection? They should just put chicanes with posts at each end as they are entering the section they cant get through. Space the posts so a fire truck can get through but every tractor trailer gets caught. It's an easy straight pull for a tow truck to release them from there. Sadly, that doesn't stop the busses and RV's. Other than an active solution that moves, I don't know how you stop busses and allow fire trucks. The turn around now signs are at really stupid places where there is no way you could turn a truck around.
