Daily sports car?

Both my wives, current and past, have sampled the brakes on the 911. Both think it's ridiculous.

And me? I think I need stickier tires. :ROFLMAO:

I remember pulling 1.3G (max, but usually a bit less) on braking. I started to use Dent-U-Grip to hold my snappers in. :ROFLMAO:

And I never have to worry about brake dust, a thing of the past. As for tire grip, I like hot weather.

Mazda introduced a concept car a couple of years ago, the Iconic SP:

Hybrid electric and dual-rotor rotary engine.

Might be called the RX-7 when it hits production.

Might be unveiled in 2026.

Might be interesting...

Nice clean shape, but I would never buy any car that is hybrid or all EV.

I attended one of the local car group rallies this weekend, good time. No laws were broken, the speed limit remains 299,792,458 meters per second despite my best efforts.

Yeah but who wants to listen to a sewing machine.
I agree. I don't love that ZR1 either. Temu/gino/ricer cars with tons of useless trim stuck all over make cars worse for me. I like the look of the lower trim Corvettes better (and @Gary 's C6 better than all of the C7's).

Those early 90s ZR1 with a manual are a riot. I know if you compare them to modern machines it’s really not that special but, for me it had plenty of power to scare me enough and dumping the clutch to burn up those Goodyears could be an expensive endeavour. But, man it’s fun!

Of to market place…….

The C6 is my number one choice in Corvette styling. The C7 (very angular with flat panels) reminds me of a F117 and the C8 reminds me of an Acura NSX (also too angular in shape).

Of course I always loved the coupes from 1963 to 1967. Crappy cars, but I love the styling.

C6 is certainly the mostly visceral and engaging of them. We enjoyed our C6 Grand Sport. An upgrade to the seats/steering wheel/stereo really goes a long way in improving creature comforts without taking away from the engaging driving experience of the car. I like the C7 as well and behind the wheel it’s much like the C6 just quieter and with nicer finishings.
I've been watching for a Fall/Winter deal on another C6 or C7 as well but this time would likely get a Base/Stingray as the wide-body one's are a bugger trying to fit in a parking space.
