You paid way too much for a jacket.

You know I was being sarcastic right?
Well it seems to be a very popular thought that much better bikes exist at half the price but when anybody calls BS on it we are always left wondering what the message really was? is it always sarcasm?

Fazer 8 ?

same bike as the FZ8 but half faired with a winshield
nice ergos, silky smooth I-4, decent brakes and handling

fixed some of the deficiencies of the FZ6
all around a good bike that Yamaha killed when the CP3 bikes were ready

Bragging about owning an SV is like bragging about getting lucky with the ugliest girl in grade 9.
Ya, but it better than bragging about getting lucky with yourself because your euro bike had a headache.

An SV never says no.

Thanks for the feedback...

Regarding euro bikes and adv bikes, just don't appeal to me. Nothing against them, just not my flavour at this point in time.

I didn't consider the 900 yamaha models because all the reviews I've watched lean towards the 700 as a better overall bike, not as twitchy and intense and more useable performance. I haven't ridden either, though.

The 650 to 700 bikes really appeal to me based on specs and performance, the only concern I have is physical size. 33" inseam I don't want to feel like a big guy on a little bike. Coming from a bigger bike like the vfr800 might exasperate that feeling. Dealing with this injury going down the road, I'm also concerned about space and being cramped, comfort is important to me.

The more I look at the fz8, the more I like it. The red and white anniversary edition is beautiful but I think I would prefer a 2013 with the upgrades that year. Insurance is about the same as the smaller bikes, too. I need to find one to sit on and look at.

I've looked at the fazer as well, but I'm not a fan of the half fairing look.

Most ADV bikes are just standard bikes with some little marketing stuff thrown at them. The Yamaha 700 Tenere looks really good.

Overpriced, but...

Got my 2015 Rx at 1,200km for $9,500 in 2017. Good power, reliable, relatively comfortable, and it sounds really, really good.

Someone mentioned the lack of windscreen, and I'd agree. Highway riding at 100+km/hr is a bit tiring after a while. Never experience wind issues with my old zx6r or cbr.

It is good! First time riding with the CP2 engine, and it's a tractor, just pulls hard in every gear. Not your run of the mills cover up ADV bike.

@bigpoppa True about the insurance, however it's not a big difference, maybe being under 30 it's all high for me, though I was paying less for the SV650N I had 3 years ago, vs the T7 now.

@OP, all the bikes on your list are good, can't go wrong with any. Though I'll be a bit biased toward the MT-07 due to that CP2 motor. The Yamaha XSR bikes look awesome as well, from the build to the details. I had an SV650 before, great bike too, though I'd take an MT or XSR over it due to character. After your ordeal, get what puts the biggest smile on your face!

That's a nice looking bike, might be a consideration. I have a friend who had a Daytona 675, he gets all starry eyed when he talks about it.

lol how else can they pay your interest for a year? No Payments comes at a price that the dealer will pass onto the consumer. Could probably negotiate that down if you don't take the payment free term.
