We have another driver with a Covid positive result. No news to the public or media. Only the drivers who took over a bus or handed off a bus to the driver were contacted. No effort made to see who may have had lunch with him or her or perhaps did a ride share etc. Crazy...

So now they are kicking drivers out of the lunchroom who are not eating and telling them to stay outside which is nuts because it is only going to get colder. Giving us new procedures to wipe down our driver's area although we have not been given wipes in months. Threats of disciplinary action if not wearing a mask anywhere outside of your driver's compartment. I guess the company has to show they are taking this seriously.

Yet... So many maskless Covidiots tonight. One after another. 3 people come on and 2 don't have a mask and of course the one with a mask has no fare. One headache after another.

I get that Ford does not want to endanger any small business etc. I just don't see how public transit has not caught any scrutiny from the general public or the media as a source of spread. I just don't understand it.

I hope to make it through the other side of this. I will be 50 next month and I am a bit on the porky side now. My will is made up, there is a nice life insurance policy to make sure my wife can financially carry on should the inevitable happen before I am 65. She knows to cremate me and mix some of our previous beloved dog's cremains with mine and spread me into some woods. I am going to write this all out though and put it with our will so there is no doubt that I don't want her blowing money on my sendoff.

that sucks Zoodles

is it possible to take a leave of absence for 6 months or so?

and the wipes are a waste of time
the surface transmission thing was way overblown
this bug is airborne

It's pretty clear that the hammer is going to come down later today. The question is who gets squished? Is it regional? Is it targeted sectors?

Daily case counts are slightly messed up as they have such a backlog of tests that they are trying to catch up on that the numbers are inflated vs results being released on tests conducted 48 or 72 hours previous.

All stocked up on toilet paper and gunpowder here, just give the word.

My parents have up to 20 wild turkeys hanging out on their lawn. So far I haven't convinced my dad to harvest thanksgiving dinner while having his coffee.

They are not the smartest birds, just open the kitchen door and drop some food on the floor.

I fitted bidet seats to all the thrones in the house. Thoroughly recommend the after market ones. You feel like a savage now when you're at a place that doesn’t have one, just a warning. Advantage in that on low power you have an attractive soothing water feature in the throne room.

I excavated a small sand bank the other day, I'm going to drill some holes in the vertical face and see if I can encourage Bank Swallows to take up residence.
 yet another covid make work project. Birds have lungs too J_F they gotta have some place nice to live.

give it a rest trials

how many replies is that?

I'm not getting dragged into your science denial again

My twit sister-in-law from the USA is in 14 day quarantine in Brantford. She called Shoppers about a test and was told they only do 10 a day.

Isn't this the wrong thread? Did you used powered seats or the ones that just tap into the toilet water line? I used them when I had a job in south Korea and they are definitely some benefits. I have to wire in a receptacle though which will not be a trivial job. Heated is the way to go. Keep the kids away from it or they will turn on the bathroom sprinkler and it will be an expensive day.

Some guidance on what is coming. Likely that Toronto, Peel, Ottawa lose gyms and indoor dining for 28 days starting tomorrow. Casinos remain open though (isn't that a clear conflict of interest and they should be one of the first things whacked?).

It will be interesting to see what happens with york, durham, oakville restaurants as Torontonians spread out to spend their dining dollars. Gyms are even worse as many will just go to an associated facility outside of the perimeter to work out. Hopefully gyms implement policies to prevent this as otherwise they risk the whole industry getting paused.

EDIT:

its a bit late, but I suppose better late than never

I am legit surprised they havent been hit with a large number of class actions yet

Perhaps they are waiting till he leaves office so no tax dollars can be used in his defense

Who do you think the classes are and who are they suing? You think restaurants or people that caught covid will sue douggie personally for how this has been handled?

right thread...have you seen the tp hoarding going on again?

Where is the limit on the number of people in a store? Been to a home depot or walmart lately? I doubt many in there know the meaning of social distancing.
