How about a provincial property tax with an across the board mill rate. Would even things up everywhere and significantly reduce taxes for everyone outside the Toronto.
Or, and this might be a crazy idea, we elect a government and hold them responsible so that they dont waste 585 million on moving power plants to save some seats, 1.5 billion a year on full day kindergarten, another 1 billion on ehealth scandal, and who the hell even knows how much was ****** away on ornge..
that's crazy talk.
Yesterday Wynne said McGuinty will be answering questions as truthfully and honestly as he can.
I stared at the tube for a long second to see if her face or eyes makes any twitch, apparently she can lie very well
True...you don't go that far politically without have a proper poker face.
Well and all this sums it up.... We wasted billions in Ontario that could have gone towards this. We also had that extra plate tax in Toronto that could have gone toward this (with all that extra money why didn't miller get this all going... simple money went else where).
We already have plate fees and gas taxes and... where is this all going? Before there are any extra taxes we need to know how much is being collected now for roads and how much is being spent. We do not need more road fees to pay for non-transport causes. Once we know this, then we can decide cut or pay more.
Right now they just want us to pay more.
Yes. Tolls everywhere.
Why not.
I agree with the waste of money on stupid stuff.
That wavy walkway thing they have on Queens Quay area costs a couple million.
It is closed now so you want walk on it because a few people fell down and twister their ankles.
That is one giant waste of money or kickback to some friend.

One should be asking who is getting the kickbacks from the cancelled power plants deal.
How the hell do you not read the cancellation clause? There is a big difference from $30 million to $300 million.
Try that with your job.
Isn't amazing how nobody goes to jail.
