Cannot access GTAM on Android

Keep track of your IP address when it's working and when it's not to see if there's a pattern. Of course, without VPN enabled.

@Jayell's had the same IP address since the beginning of all of this.

Rogers keeps the same IP address for a very long time. It's effectively static IP, which they have the audacity to charge an additional $5/month for...

Is release and renew still a thing? I haven't done it in more than a decade.

No, they stopped allowing client-side release/renew a few years ago. It's essentially static IP, and it seem like they only re-assign a new IP every few years. I've read accounts of customers claiming that they've turned their modem off for 14 days and they still get the same IP address assigned to them when they turn it back on.

More accountability and tracking that way. Makes running a VPN that much more pertinent.

Thx @Jayell, confirms what I thought. The filtering is done at the network layer, not at the web server or application (Xenforo).

It seems that GTAM's hosting service has your IP or IP range on a block list.

What is strange is that you say sometimes you get a page or two then no more? That is highly unusual, as if the filtering is done in real time, not pre-configured via a blacklist.

Can you provide more details when you get this intermittent access? Is it after a long period of inactivity?
I was getting a page or so sometimes when it wasn't working.

Funny, it stopped working for me multiple times over the past few days, usually at work. Both mobile data and WiFi, site just wouldn't load. Then it suddenly starts working again. Very strange.

Works on mobile data only not Rogers at work or starlink at home but better than not working anywhere.

Email me the IPs and I'll check with host.

Happened again to me today. Started off being slower and slower to open a thread. Closed my browser and re-opened and then the the time out error. Lasted for at least 3 hours (I gave up at 3PM. No issues (so far) now.

Probably. Had them change a setting today based on the last 24 hours. Will keep watch to see if resolved or it continues.

Difficult for me to monitor during working hours so if any finds they can access, if they would be kind enough to send email to cutekill@gtamotorcycle.com with screen capture I can follow up with host with accurate time stamps.

Here's hoping we are back to stable and resuming regularly scheduled programs.

FWIW, I wasn't able to connect today or most (if not all) of yesterday, but heard from others that they couldn't either, so I asssumed the site was down for everyone and didn't bother troubleshooting. I guess that wasn't the case? Or maybe whatever change was made impacted me but eveything's been fine since about dinner time.
