brine in ajax

Its been down since earlier this week. I have seen salt trucks running at night all week from cambridge to milton.
Tonight it's supposed to be -2 so im guessing its game over for the gta.

Nuuuu I hate when they go crazy with salt once they see the temps dip below 0 for 1 night... Even though the next couple days after that are supposed to be around 15 degrees....

Took the bike out today. Rode for 2 minutes when I saw the brine. It was all dried up but I know the riding days are soon to end.

No!!! Too soon!!!

What does brine on the road look like? I never paid attention before but I have seen trucks flinging rock salt everywhere with their spinner wheels in the past. How is brine visually different?

Looks like faint white lines going down the road.

They haven't touched south Ajax yet. I was on Westney Rd. this afternoon, near the 401 and that was still clean. I didn't go north of Highway 2/Kingston Rd. though, so I dunno where the brine begins.

Well if they don't this happens instantly

Brine was down at Salem and the 401 this morning.

Hope they put this off for London for awhile / road conditions permit it, I want to get as much riding in as possible before policy renewal. Anyone know what temperature is too cold for stock CBR125R tires?

Brine is all down Westney south, past sobeys, down harwood and along lake driveway when I came home last night around 5 Pm.

Your bike will likely be able to take more than you. Your fingers will be the biggest issue.

Weird, maybe they just hadn't gotten to that one spot yet (I was pretty much just off-and-on the 401 since I was only going to the neighbourhood where the Ritchie turnoff is), or maybe it was light and had already been ground in by the heavy traffic where I was, but didn't look like any was there to me. Didn't see any salt traces on my tires this morning.

I dunno!

I used to double up on gloves in cold temps, but my current pair don't have room for that. Luckily my current pair are snowmobile gloves, so they're fine.
