Oakville and Port Credit throw me. They have charming names but when you get there, they're nothingvilles. Unless you canoe or kayak up the rivers.
 
Hmmm same $50k buys this and at 300,000km perhaps a new motor tho maybe not with a diesel

or creeks ...class 3 rapids in the spring...lost 6 canoes and 3 kayaks to those my first day in a kayak ( tho had pool experience so I could roll)
Walked out in my sock feet - 80 degrees at Easter and a LOT of runoff.
No canoe made it, 3 kayaks did ....one was not me. Damn that water was cold and black going under.

I like a hot shower in the morning. With house trailers they start at about 28 feet.

Any recommendation for a seadoo anchor.
Something that can be used at or near the beach.
I want to be able to anchor the seadoo while not in use during the day.

Ideally I would not want to beach the seadoo onto the sand.
Something that is compact enough to fit into the seadoo.

I am thinking of something like this.

If you don't want the seadoo on the beach, you often want the anchor deeper than the seadoo. I would not be using something I had to manually screw into the bottom. They make folding anchors for seadoos but I wouldn't trust them while I was away from the boat. A two-fluke aluminum anchor will give you good hold if it fits in your storage (probably in engine compartment not frunk).

I wouldn't trust them in sand. OK for something on shore with more holding power and you'd need two to keep the boat from swinging

I have some similar things in mild steel kicking around. You're welcome to them if you want to try but they were meant for pets.

I think I know what you are talking about for pets.

I believe I may have one of those with some rust on it.
 
Go to Princess Auto and buy what they call a mushroom anchor . Fits in most seadoo lockers and won’t poke a hole in the seadoo bouncing around like a danforth or Bruce style . If you don’t mind the extra weight buy ten ft of quarter in chain to go with it . Chain has more holding power than the mushroom, it’s all about scope ,seven to one .

So in my two week trip to the thousands islands , autopilot crapped out on day three , VHF remote mic stopped working, primary was fine , VHF handheld quit . Suzuki dingy motor got oil in the carb ( you have to turn it sideways when you tilt it) and didn’t start for a day . Bbq that has not been lite for six yrs was a ball of fire .
Boats are like strippers , they perform wonderfully till you stop throwing hundred dollar bills at them .

Auto pilot fixed , new remote mic ordered, new handheld VHF under consideration. Bbq cleaned and working . Now to sort out the asymmetrical spinnaker which needs more projection out front and why the spin pole car seems to be jamming . I’d guess another grand and it’s all back in business .

This reminds me of why I sold my scow. I think I’ll be about 10 stacks ahead by the end of the summer.
