I've been messing with the mirrors on the 2011 CBR250R and can't seem to get the field of view that I want...the 125 had it on the handlebars so it was easier to get a very good view behind the bike.
I'm considering getting bar end mirrors...any suggestions or comments? Not sure what to look for specifically. I've seen a few online but have no experience with them.
I have a pair, if you want to try them out I can give it to you when I'm back in town. One thing is you will loose the handlebar vibration dampening you get from the bar end and for long rides it is more important. Try looking at mirror widener for the CBR or try some blindspot mirror on to stick on your existing mirror.
An hour into the very first ride they started drooping, by the time i came back home from a 4 hour ride, the r/h side was so loose you can adjust it and literally watch it droop over the next 10 seconds...
Pretty slick, but pricey, about $110.00. They can be installed in various configurations, available in black or silver. Once installed, they're not adjustable, so installation can be a bit tedious. The price of admission was too rich for me, so I went with the ePay knock offs. About twenty five bucks with free shipping on the slow boat. The eBay mirrors have convex glass, necessary with a mirror this small, I think. I've had mine since the end of last season. Very happy with 'em for now, but we'll have to see how they last over a year. The stock mirrors on my Thruxton were always fuzzy, but the eBay mirrors are rock solid at any RPM.
