Bachelor/Bachleorette Parties- HOW FAR IS TOO FAR???

Interesting topic since I just finished getting back from a Bachlorette party. What do you say is too far? I get that the average party on both sides often includes, some type of humiliation, strippers (a must), and tons of booze.....but more specfically, is this a "one final and acceptable night for cheating?" ......Curious on your thoughts as to what takes these parties too far and is it considered cheating...

Examples: Hiring Porn Stars, Rub and Tugs, physical groping...

What defines too far?

I suspect there will be a very different answer from males vs females on this board. Although I'd be willing to bet none of those males would dare say it in front of their partners.

Personally, in my relationship it is not acceptable to cheat (bachelor/ette party or not). Not everyone has the same boundaries in their relationship though so what's too far for me wouldn't be for someone else.

Always been curious why "one last one" was acceptable. What message would be sent to your Partner? That one more is needed before you have to endure them?! Personally, if my prospective Partner was that immature, they wouldn't be the one for me.

Having a few drinks, strippers, etc big deal but there are definite lines I think most people have. Why not ask the Partner what is acceptable and not offensive to him?

I actually think anything you would not do the day after the wedding is off the table before the wedding. A best man that allows the groom to get so polluted he has no idea what he's doing and doesn't have the guys back is not a best man.
Strippers, ok if you have to, humiliation, that will happen for the next 40 yrs on its own. Rub and Tugs? no.
The movie versions of bachelor parties are not real life.

To answer your question , I don't consider it one last chance for cheating. Serious lack of self respect for a lot of people and the booze made me do it is not an acceptable answer, if your cant handle yourself drink less.

Definitely not an acceptable night for cheating. If you don't cheat on your significant other normally, why would this night not count? I know some people that think otherwise though :S.

+1 boundaries are personal and need to be established in advance.

My wife received a call from the strip joint my work buddies took me to, broadcast over the sound system of course (the embarrassment thing, set up by a co-worker). The DJ pretended to be a friend of mine who was supposed to meet me. My wife (then fiance of course) responded "He's at some strip joint in Mississauga" much to the delight of the crowd. With that out there, the DJ acknowledged he "was that strip club and she was on speaker" and offered to buy me a lap dance and was that ok. "He knows what the boundaries are, it's up to him" was her response. I was surprised at every one elses surprise to this .... it seems this is not the norm for such a gag.

boundaries are established only between the husband and wife to be ... that's the line and don't cross it , it isn't up to the best man or groomsmen...

if no boundaries are established by either party then I'd say whatever the personal comfort level of the individual is at that moment...

I dunno..most guys are a lot of big talk..when it's put up or shut up time, they shut up. :) I think it defines your relationship..if you'd bang a ho on your bachelor party night, wouldn't you kinda expect that to always happen? If both people know and they're ok with that, then that's fine. Personally, I think it's completely unacceptable. I actually suspect the women are more likely to be yanking something that night than the boys! :)

I think Bachelor parties are more for the 'other' guys in the party then it is for the bachelor himself. :p

Very interesting...keep the responses coming...

Personally I agree like many others, that there is no excuse....history shows that years ago these parties happened because of arranged marriages, it was the mans last night.......but it wasnt really considered cheating because he wasnt in a committed relationship with his wife, infact she was a stranger as they had not met yet.

I get that its a night for the guys and a night for girls, I also feel that if you allow cheating all in the name of a red wrapped bow called "bachelor" or "bachelorette party" its not ok, and if its ok for a night or week before your wedding, what makes it not ok any other time?

More importantly this particular couple had boundaries....and said groom crossed them, regardless she is going through with it...but I certainly have some reservations, and wondered If I am too old school in my thinking.

No big deal going to a strip joint and getting dances... my wife did the same thing.

Anything beyond that is off bounds. But I've always maintained that the bachelor party is more for the friends than the groom...

As long as everyone involved has pants then no harm IMO.

I am engaged and I would like to know what the women's opinions are? Or maybe I should just talk to my fiancé.

You'd be wrong.

Strippers are part of the game, lap dances, etc. of course. Admittedly lap dances might include the guy touching the girl's boobs. If a girl goes to a male strip club and touches some guys ***/chest, etc. .....it's fair game IMHO in the name of equality.

Rub and tugs, bj's etc. is all cheating IMHO. Making out with a random broad/guy at a bachelor party.......that's crossing the line too IMHO.

WOW great subject lol. Bachelor party's are fun and cant really out of hand.. I myself don't believe its a OPEN NIGHT ANYTHING GOES NIGHT but to each there own I guess. If you need to go out and cheat on your soon to be wife that night , something tells me it wont be the last time you do it....

a rub and tug is no more cheating than getting a basic massage, i carry a lot of tension in my dick.

I used to DJ a few Stag and Hen parties back in the UK when I was a nipper. Being stood at the back of the stage was funny as I got to see the faces of the audience. Men sit there with their tongues hanging out, straining their necks for the best view possible. Women have a laugh, take the stripper in the context it's meant and generally have a better time.

As with most things, it's all about context.

I would give her a free cheat card if she really wanted it. If she hasn't cheated on me before, is curious, and still comes back, it seems like just as a good of a sign as her not wanting to do anything wild in the first place (for me, at least. I know that a lot of other people wouldn't see it this way).

I usually lose interest pretty quickly, so chances are that if we made it far enough for me to have a bachelor party, I probably don't need to hook up with a random chick. I also never cheat, so it's just very unlikely that I'd want to/will.
