I need the ball mount just for this weekend
if anyone can lend me theirs it would be much appreciated!

thanks!
please PM for my number so we can discuss via txt/phone

You don't say what size you need (both size of the tube (1 1/4" or 2" normally) and drop/rise required).

I would just pick one up from a store, it would be easier than pickup/dropoff of a borrowed one.

cool!

will check out CT and Princess auto

woulda been nice to just borrow it since I'll only be using it over the weekend but who knows

Depends on what your towing, more than likely a standard mount with no drop/rise in it would work.

Also take into account how much your towing with your maxtrix too.

Do you have the correct size ball or you need that too? The diagram you posted doesn't have the ball labeled, but typically it's separate (although you can get one piece units).

I use about a 2" drop with my car/trailer. For SUV with a small boat, about 6-8" drop works better to keep the motor up.

Most small trailers need a 1 7/8" ball, but you need to check the size stamped on the coupler to make sure.

Getting a motorcycle trailer to tow a cbr600rr

Just measured the receiver tube and it's a 1.5 inch

If your getting the all steel Uhaul trailer, with bike you may be exceeding the towing capacity of your vehicle.

Someone this past week just blew their tranny on a Camry, towing that trailer with a bike in it.

I'm going to u hall right now to get all the details of the trailer so I know what to get and I'll post up soon

but a honda fit can haul a 15 foot boat no problem over a hill?

Automatic? A lot of them are not suitable for towing.

Its a manual trans matrix 06/07

The ball size is 2" and receiver tube is 1.5" with the hitch rated for 2000lbs and tongue weight of 200 lbs

What do you guys think

Now that i d like to see. And a car i wouldnt want to buy ..

I saw it with my own eyes. Lady goes into uhaul to put a hitch on her fit as her old fit (05) got totaled due to an accident (not at fault). She now has an 09 or '10 model. People in the uhaul at kingston were all laughing with her. we all couldn't believe it. When she got it installed, she hauled her car + a cube trailer that she rented off uhual, up the hill to her house near that area.

True story but it's up to you to believe.

If that fit can do it, a camry is n/p

ok wow,

even though I have the hitch installed on the car (previous owner) there are no wires for the trailer :wtf:

I guess I'm not trailering that bike after all

I got a trailer wiring kit for my old 06 matrix at tsc or ct can't remember which, but it was like 15 bucks and is plug and play. Takes literally 10 minutes
