Hello there fellow riders.
One of this cold nights I was sitting in my basement and browsing GTAM on my Mac when it hit me. Why not make a public Database/Registry of Stolen motorcycles and also allow users to add their Motorcycles to the registry even if they were not Stolen, just as a precaution. I know someone attempted to do this already on here, and the project seemed to have died for whatever reason, but I'm actually pretty serious in getting this thing up and running. But before I go full 12 cups of coffee into my IDE, I want a count of hands from fellow riders, too see if the project is viable enough to put my time into.
So yep. In short you would submit your Motorcycle's VIN number into my Database along with few other pieces of information such as year, make, model, color, mileage, last seen, last seen location, image, your contact info (phone/email) and some details on the bike (a description of the bike, the mods it has, the stickers it has, you know this kind of deal). And that would be it. From there own you would Submit the New Report and from my end I would have it Shared on my projects Facebook and Twitter pages, and you can also share it on your own Social Media links.
This is a bit of a two way deal, as anyone buying a new bike would do so much good if they just run a quick lookup via my project, and who knows maybe they would come across a fellow riders stolen bike. Also for the tinfoil portion of members the project would run under a SSL and all data would be encrypted with AES like cipher (TWOFISH or BLOWFISH or SERPENT) in CBC mode.
