A frugal comms set up...

I don't think HAM radio is really about talking to people.
It's more about filling your desk space with hardware, computer screens and blinky lights while at the same time pissing off the wife by setting up huge antennas on the property...
I mean whenever I'm over there and a human voice appears over the system it's usually greeted with a loud.. "STFU!" from my HAM buddy... Lol.
 
I ended up getting a built in communicator on my Schuberth. The price from Europe was less than the helmet and communicator here. At that time, you couldn’t buy a European Shoei. Now you can’t buy a Schuberth from them either.
