    Icon Stormhawk WP Boots

I have these in brown. Very comfy boots. Riding, walking, they are very comfortable. I've had them for a few years now and I have glued a patch of donkey hide over the "shift spot". I was getting some wear from shifter wear so SuperGlue to the rescue.

What did you do in your garage today..?

That's about 1 hr. drive from here. If I get stuck and can't get one more local, its always an option. Options are good. Where in Mt. Hope?

What did you do in your garage today..?

I thought about using a gun for the painting but the spray bombs had the correct colour and are pretty easy to use. The thing I learned is sand..sand..sand..sand and some more sanding. Multiple coats of primer and finish paint make the sanding and finishing much easier. Make sure you sand any...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I painted it myself. It was my first try at tank painting and it turned out pretty well. There is still a little orange peel if you look real close and the decals are not quite perfect bit I'm happy with it. I only used spray cans, a bunch of sandpapers of various grits and a lot of patience...

I got my bike back from Tim at V-Twin Cycle in Niagara Falls and I must say Tim is a real pro. An old school mechanic who can fix anything. I had the 40,000km valve inspection/adjustment done on my 2020 Suzuki VStrom 650 and he did exactly what I wanted him to do and did a great job of it. He...

I too am a Niagara area rider but I tend to head more west when riding. Head out to Dunnville, across the Grand river and there is some very nice riding out that way. The Country Chip Wagon makes for a nice stop out this way. Sure the roads are rather straight and not to exciting, but the...

We were super lucky with the weather. It was in the high 20s everyday. We also had a enclosed trailer towed by a support truck for the trip. That was a game changer. Check out the ride report on StromTrooper...

Thanks. I bought it new in 2021 mostly for the James Bay trip in 2022. I had talked to a buddy at work about the ride and he was keen. He had a VStrom and sold me on the reliability and ride comfort. Home Renos - NO, Done with that, we tore our old house down to the foundation and rebuilt it...

Doing the valve adjust myself would take me too much time. It is a bit more complicated than my old two-strokes. To do the valve adjust, there is a lot of part removal. I want my bike to be trouble free for the summer. My VStrom, I just want to ride it, not work on it. Besides, I like to take...

I went to see Tim today at V Twin Cycle. A really nice guy. The kind of old school mechanic that is really hard to find anymore. I will be taking my VStrom in around the end of the month. Thanks for the tip.

    Who's riding?

Out for a quick boot today. A little windy but not to bad. Wellandport, Caledonia then home. the Grand river was very high today. A lot of the little parks and campgrounds along the Grand were totally flooded.

Thanks for the welcome guys!! My bike(2020 Suzuki VStrom 650) is in need of the 40,000km valve check/adjust. Who would you recommend in the Niagara area to do the job. I will not go to Clare's again. Thanks

No, I haven't connected with the group. I really should sometime but life gets in the way. They say you are busier when you are retired than when your still working. I only have a motorcycle license and don't drive cars. It limits my mobility in the winter but it gives me a good excuse to spend...
