    The pope comes to town.

I wonder what the Pope would say if he knew that all of this came t light a number of years ago during the Truth and Reconciliation Hearings and that it "conveniently" resurfaced recently to cover the azzes of the politicians who allowed thousands of our seniors to die needlessly, The military...

anyone switched from gas to diesel car and never looked back?

If this is true then I would conclude that the quality of metallurgy in these part must be pretty poor. Diesels are low reving and if anything wears out prematurely then they must be crap.

Like Cosworth, who designed a motorcycle engine for Triumph or Norton back in the day and couldn't get it to work properly?

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Isn't this one of the Ducati models that has a plastic gas tank made by Acerbis? They supposedly have a tendency to warp out of shape because of the alcohol in our gas. There was a big lawsuit in the U.S. and Ducati lost but only had to replace the tank with the same thing (which will warp again).

    Best Motorcycle Movies/Videos?

Steve McQueen did quite a few jumps to set up for the scene but when it came to doing the actual scene the insurance people for the movie put a stop to it. Bud Ekins, the stunt co-ordinator for the film ( and a good friend of Steve's) did the jump for the movie.

    Shell/Gas Station Rant

This was my thinking. I know they took those locking tabs off the pump handles because in winter people would lock the pump on and go back to sit in their warm car while the gas was flowing. They would get out and reach for the pump and SPARK...BOOM. With all the synthetic clothing we wear and...

Thought bike was going to melt!!

That's why I kept my VFR800 for a grand total of 30 days. I bought it with a leaking water pump, and replaced it then it would still get up to 104°C. High performance = high heat. My SV650S was a sensible bike. I now have a 2006 Tiger and it can warm your thighs but the fix should be easy. A bit...

    2007 Buell XB9R - What's It Worth?

The 900's aren't that easy to sell, everyone wants the 1200. But I think they had most of the bugs out of them by 2007 (except the drivebelt). However I was interested in one that had a broken drivebelt on order and it took 6 weeks for the Harley dealer to get it.

    Making Alcohol

I think most commercial alcohol is made chemically from natural gas. The stuff we drink is distilled/fermented but most of the stuff they put in you gas tank comes from processing chemicals. I think there are a couple of fermentation operations trying to use farm waste (like corn stalks) and...

    Vapour Blasting

I think there was a thread on here about this before and one of the guys said he had problems with painting over anything that was soda blasted. If you are going to leave the aluminum bare then you're probably okay.
