What did you do in your garage today..?

Not even needle-nosed vice grips? They would fit I'd think... I'm with xrjoel - I'd also use a dremel to slice a bit off either end so the needle-nose vice grips have something to grab onto. And like sburns suggested, I'd first soak it with PB Blaster (my go to anti-seize) or Sea Foam Deep...

    Giovanni Caboto Day Lunch

Awesome!! Unfortunately I'm not able to join, which is too bad because Vito's makes a FANTASTIC pizza, one of the best I've had in recent memory! Would also have enjoyed the rip up to Maynooth so I could stop in at Sun Run Cafe and Bakery for a tasty snack ;) Enjoy your trip!

    Tool Deals Thread

I guess it depends if you value the Dewalt brand... I picked one up from Amazon for half the price and double the amperage and it seems to work just fine:

Exactly. I think the thing in the video is perhaps a Stark Varg... those things are insane.

    Touring and Camping

Maybe not, but I can confirm this year is especially bad. Worst I've seen in the last two decades... (up in cottage country at least).

    Is this riding season abnormal?

CP24 keeps reporting that motorcycle operator deaths are up 500 percent this year.

    Food choice

Have you ever used one of those Apps that scan grocery products and let you know in a very simple way which contain harmful chemicals? A friend recommended "Yuka" to me last year, and since then I've given up sooooo many of my favourite grocery staples thanks to that stupid App :(

    CarPlay

I used Gaia for 2 hours the other day, and my phone only went down by 20 percent... which app were you using that drained so much power? That might have been an outlier or some other issue going on. I have an old s20+ Android phone.

Site performance is quite poor today

lmao, what another weird tangent of a thread! And also very fitting that I got the following message the first time I tried to reply: Before ATI was bought out by AMD, they threw a couple LAN parties that I attended at their main headquarters in Markham that were quite fun... Counter Strike...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Did some work on the little bikes... got all three running and ready to putt around on. 1990 DT200R - cleaned the carb and replaced the petcock. Running well! 1982 CT110 - just threw some seafoam in the tank and rode it around for awhile... runs and idles well enough so I'll save the carb...

    CarPlay

Interesting - I keep my phone in my jacket pocket when riding, and it's never got even warm that I've noticed. That said, I've only used Waze and Google Maps mostly, and haven't tried Gaia/OsmAnd/Lotus much yet so maybe those take more processing power. Something to watch out for I guess...

How did your testing go? I've been testing Gaia, OsmAnd, and LocusMaps trying to figure out which one I like best for following and creating gpx routes.

Let's hope you have less problems getting warranty support than I had with a BMS (battery management system) I got from AliExpress. It failed about a week before the 1 year warranty expired, and the seller was giving me the run-around and was refusing to replace/repair under warranty. Luckily...

    CarPlay

I have a Cardo packtalk slim and it works seamlessly with the Carpuride. I have the Cardo paired to my phone only, but using the Capuride I can control music, answer calls, etc.

    CarPlay

I got this one (W702Pro) for my Norden 901 Expedition in April (about the same price, it was $242 at the time from Amazon). So far no complaints, I like it and find it works quite well!

    Trailers

I like my 5x8 Rush trailer... got it about 10 years ago and it's been rock solid. Not sure if they offer aluminum but worth inquiring. Very well built: https://www.facebook.com/RushTrailerFactory/
