    Another Friday 13th tomorrow

Frustrating dealing with all the old people and then seeing pictures with me included and actually being the very same old person.

    TV shows currently watching

Slow Horses has been really enjoyable. Great cast and characters. Premise of misfits saving the day either by chance or with skill is fun. Sometimes predictable but, other times not. I think the appeal to me is the underdogs besting the others.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Sucks having an indefinite wait and driving a paperweight.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I know there is a whole ideal state of charge and best practices etc. just like most battery devices in a way. With our PHEV, the range is low and we only have a 120 V circuit that charges up the 13/14 kWh battery easily over night. I’m adding a 240 V circuit to for those occasions we use...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

One great benefit to EVs is having a stable cost at home. Can't say it’s better out in the public as much depends on the need to top up, availability of charging spots and the price they set at the stations. But, home electric and overnight rates are typically the lowest you’ll get and don’t...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I think smaller EVs for commuting makes sense. Larger EVs have large costs associated to building them. The size along with payload of more people and their stuff, it’s going to be a challenge to find “affordable” Even a used Lightning with extended range is still expensive. Only get 5 seats...

More and more folks simply buy and ride without consideration to such things. Looks the part, cost to acquire seems better than most, I can purchase and take part in the adventure or lifestyle that it seems to support. How many new riders know how or where to check oil, let alone know how to...

Welcome Kevin. Niagara neighbour here. Located in Ridgeway. Do you get out with any of the locals from the CVMG? I don’t myself as I’m still hustling for work but, I meet up occasionally. Hoping to get out more this year. Andy Clark and some others are good fellas that meet up for...

Amazing! When you come down, be it yourself, with your spouse or a riding buddy or two, happy take a rip around the area, stop for a cold one. Brimstone here in Ridgeway is pretty good. So, is my garage. And plenty of spots in between. 😉

There is a joke to be said at your expense with regards to wild donkeys. Of course she likes them! Didn’t she marry one?!?! Oh! I’ll see myself out! And I was going to exchange donkey for ass……but, that would be rude. And typically don’t risk making a joke at a stranger’s expense...

Cupid strikes me all the time when it comes to bikes and being practical is always tossed out the window. Truth be told, Ducati’s Desert Sled is sexy AF and want one in the garage. Other than riding it down the parkway to Chippewa’s Timmies to pose, it really wouldn’t get much use. I...

    Saw amazing today...

Our house has mourning doves nest out front regularly. We’ve witnessed more than one hawk grab breakfast or lunch right in front of our kitchen window. It’s amazing to see and always wish we had a way to video or take a pic as it happens. Which reminds me last fall, riding the parkway on...

    Family friendly vacations.

No doubt! We also did a road trip with 3 kids (all boys) from St Catharines to base at Cocagne New Brunswick. Random stops, road snacks, road side stop to strip to our undies and take a dip in the ocean which happened to be warmer than expected! Kids still talk about it to this day. The...

Yes, very tempting to add a Triumph Scrambler to the garage. The RE Bear is a nice kit too. I think a used Triumph Scrambler is more likely.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Bonnie is close to ready for spring rides. I’m not crazy about the look of the windshield but, it does block the cool spring air. One bar end mirror installed. Left side planned for tomorrow. And clean up the crap on the bench.

Age of kids? Sun and fun, we’ve done Riviera de Maya and did some excursions like swim in a Cenotes as well as swim with the dolphins and catarham boat tour taking us to a reef to snorkel etc. Great memories and reasonable cost. Bartered a lot and kids had fun being included in making deals...

Would anyone cross shop with a VStrom? With Suzuki moving to a twin and similar displacement and believe the price point is comparable. Off to YouTube…….and these really aren’t my style but, maybe one day when they do look attractive to me! As I look at my old standard T100 with love……
