While not a boat owner. I've learned one lesson for hobbies, projects, repairs. You typically need three things. Money, tools, time. You'll seldom have all all three at the same time.

For me, the only change is plowing snow instead of cutting grass. Just work, home etc.

We enjoyed the calm and quiet. Neither of us take any additional time off, so we're trying to maximize our laziness.

Nothing! No gift exchange this year. Just a relaxing day at home and a good meal.

I'll keep mine outside and alive. Fake or real the upsurge in pricing for Christmas trees is outrageous.

I have to agree, I'm out for many hours and even dressed appropriately the cold sinks into my bones and lingers... I'd rather be cutting grass then plowing snow any day.

See lots of winter shorts wearing guys, sometimes they also dawn the winter crocs. But like @oioioi stated they typically bust out the tuque and a hoodie. #forever17

I get a few texts, just block and delete. Luckily no calls.... For now.

I used to change as my interests changed. Now, on my final motorcycle as my interest in this pastime have diminished greatly. To be honest I have not even looked at any new motorcycles in years.

Rewards and praise, keep your expectations very very low for the first few months. Don't use a retractable leash while training on walks, consider a harness if she pulls/fights the leash as a collar can cause injury. Set schedules and expect accidents. A dog will give you unconditional love...
