The Riders Who Won't Wave Back...

I mix my waves up recently. High peace sign, low 2 fingers, salutes, queen waves, even a shocker or two for the ladies. Depends on my mood really.

New Riders...Start with a smaller bike!

To the argument that a bigger bike can roll around at 40kph in 5th gear all day: Where's the fun in that? Putputputputputput....braaaaaaaakes..... putputputputput.... Gearboxes are meant to be used. Some people actually enjoy shifting gears, and enjoy using more of their engine's potential than...

New Chain time - DIY Help Needed!

The motionpro breaker from Fortnine ships in a day and works great, about 30$. I can vouch for the screw-type master link on the srx2, it's solid and provides more peace of mind then the clips. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

How long does it take to study for M1 license?

My learning curves course was the same, 4*C and snow on the second day. I'm a firm believer in learning in the worst possible conditions will make you a better vehicle operator. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    What games do you play?

I just started playing Elder Scrolls Online on PC this time, I used to have an xbox 1 but sold it early 2016. The game is just as good as I remember but with the usual PC goodies (addons, controller/mouse/kb, graphics, etc). I was trying to find something to fill my FFXI gouge and this is just...

    The audiophile thread

Anyone looking for some good riding earphones should check out the Shure SE215. I've put at least 500 hours of listening time on mine and I love 'em! The cord is very tough and the earbuds have quick disconnects if they get pulled too hard. They sit in-ear and don't pop out when pulling helmet...

How long does it take to study for M1 license?

https://www.drivingtest.ca/ontario-m1-motorcycle-driving-test/ Do all 8 tests over and over and over again until you pass them every time with ease. The first 2 are signs the other 6 are moto questions. I got 100% on my test first try. The driving questions are all basic knowledge.

    What games do you play?

100% Yes. Awesome game with a huge following, tons of mods and very fun to play. Open-world RPG. You don't pick a class, instead you get points when you level up to spend on whatever skills you want. A stealthy warrior? Sure why not. A pick-pocketing necromancer? Sure!

Change coolant if removing right crank cover? CBR300

I kept them along with all the other spare parts from my bike in case I sell it or don't like the changes. The clutch still grabs just fine and I don't have the tool to remove the crown nut so I just did the springs this time. I did it all in about 3 hours start to finish, with no prior...

Change coolant if removing right crank cover? CBR300

That's what I thought, I was trying to figure out if it could be blocked or if it would stay in somehow, but it probably won't. I'll just grab some new Honda coolant and change it. Due for a change at 38k anyway. ~34000km on the bike. The plates are still fine, just looking for more bite is all...

Change coolant if removing right crank cover? CBR300

I have some Barnett clutch springs to put in my bike and was gonna do it today with some fresh oil. It looks pretty straight forward but I cant figure out if I will need to drain the coolant or not. I'll be removing the right crank case cover and it contains the water pump, not sure if it will...

    Best tires for for GSX-R600

I love my Pirelli diablo rosso II's. I don't expect to get more than ~12k out of them but they perform spectacular.

Need insurance for GSXR600 with M1 license

32,000km on my CBR300 since April of last year. Last weekend a cbr1k couldn't shake me off his tail in the turns. No need for a big bike, especially as a first bike. As others said, the killer deal you got was most likely because of how gnarly supersport insurance in Ontario is.

    I rode a wee-Strom and I'm not disappointed

I've been looking at the 2017 650 with the beak, would love to pick one up. Fits my height perfectly, and it's the style of bike I really want to upgrade to next. Maybe next year!

    how to flare chain pins

Not my photo. I was referring to the flares you see on the pins. I originally purchased a 110 link and took 2 off to fit my bike, now with the larger sprocket I added one of those links back in. When I reinstalled the link the flares had flattened out a bit from being pushed through the plate...

A lot more squids this season?

Hows the fit on those? I need my jeans to stretch a little to be comfortable for riding/working all day

    how to flare chain pins

All I did was add a link, that's perfectly normal. The flares are checked to a thousand of an inch with digital calipers, and all of the other pins vary from ~5.3 to ~5.8, I'm only 0.1mm off so I don't think there will be any issues. Put about 80km on it so far and the pins haven't moved, I'm...

    how to flare chain pins

Yeah I tried with my riveter, broke a pin, so I made one with an old pipe flaring kit. The pins are just way too hard to flare. Ended up using some big dirty vice grips and clamped them on an angle to make a new flare. Worked just fine! ~5.70mm stock flares, mine came to ~5.60mm. For anyone in...

    how to flare chain pins

I changed my sprockets and am adding one link to my chain. I've got it all together just fine but I don't have a flaring tool to make the 4 flares on the pins I removed and reinstalled. Do I need to re-flare them, and does anyone have an idea of a diy tool or some way I can modify my chain...
