Never rode a Hyusong (I think it's Korean) but it gets lower marks than the Japanese bikes. The most plentiful bikes out there are the Ninjas 250/300/400. You can't go wrong with those and you'll get the best prices on them because there are so many out there. Try to find a stock one, that way...
I wanted to test ride one of them but KTM is not letting customers at them yet. There's one at GP Bikes but they told me they're not even allowed to start it.
Loved this bike on a recent demo day. Motorcycles have come so far in the twenty years I’ve been riding. Twenty years ago I test rode the original Speed Triple (the round headlights and all) and loved that bike. It was wild but also dangerous (I remember an inadvertent stoppie at a red light)...
This is the first time I'm taking my wife's new bike to work. It's a 286cc single and is quite different than my 1200 Adventure Bike. As a city commuter I actually found it quite nice. May not be newest, lightest or most powerful in the class but these are available on the used market for a...
Thanks for the tip. Next helmet I might try that. I like the GoPro because I have tons of extra batteries and will be riding up around the Madawaska Valley area quite a bit. I’ll just leave the camera on. You never know when a bear or moose might appear. I even saw a wolf up there once when I...
It’s a good idea to ride with a cam in case something happens even if you never publish the footage. Just started doing this and came up with a setup for under $200. If you have your own tips please share:
I’ve done both and both have their advantages, although these days I go with used. The new KTM 790 Adventure R tested my resolve on this point but in the end I just found that it made so much more sense to buy used:
My wife started practicing on an unplated bike before we got the paperwork in order. We are actually very fortunate to live very near the parking lot where the Learning Curves course takes place. We literally just walked the bike over to the parking lot for her first lesson. There's no law that...
I got a decent rate considering that I live in Toronto and have mine and my wife's bike insured under my name, and considering that she is a brand new rider (on a 300cc). :)
I'm not a new rider but my wife is. She's taking the course in two weeks and she already bought a Honda CB300F to ride after that. We're practicing out in the parking lot so that the course won't be the first time she's sat on a motorcycle:
I must say she's going about it more smartly than I...
Hey all,
I’ve had my license for twenty years but haven’t owned a bike in five. I’ve decided to get back into it and just bought a 2014 Moto Guzzi Stelvio:
Then my wife surprised me with the announcement that she wanted to ride :) So we bought her a 2015 Honda CB300F and I’m teaching her to...
