All those mentioned here, but one that has not been mentioned yes is starting the bike on a hill. I was always worried about getting stuck on a hill and getting in the way of traffic.
I'm curious how many headlights you can have. I saw a bike yesterday on Guelph Line. Had two lights on the engine guards and a light bar. Not sure if there were 4 or 5 all in all. I then heard that 4 is the legal maximum. I loved the look of that bike, as it looked more like a jeep coming down...
I've always loved motorcycles. When I was in my 20's a guy took me for a ride on his bike that scared the crap out of me and I never got back on another bike. Still loved the look and sound of them, but never did anything about it. 2 years ago I dated a guy that had a Goldwing. Spent 6 weeks on...
You probably have your heart set on a sport bike, but if you check around you will find the costs significantly lower for a 250 cruiser. May not be your dream bike, but at least you'd be riding until your premiums come down enough... Not even sure about a 500 cruiser, but would be worth looking...
That makes perfect sense to put the helmet away from the bike. Not so natural looking and would draw attention. I will keep that in mind for sure. Thanks for the input.
Yeah, that's what we figured too. I'm sure if we were waving like we needed help, someone would have stopped for sure. The vultures were a bit much though, don't you think? ;)
Ok, so ever since I've been riding, I always heard that if you have a breakdown, place your helmet on the ground by your bike so other riders will see you are in trouble. My friend and I were out riding today. She broke down while travelling on Hwy 3 in Cayuga. We got our bikes off the road and...
Thanks for all the input. Oh, I'm not fighting with him about it at all. My bike is parked on a patio I made specifically for it, to keep it off the parking lot and out of everyone's way. We have only one parking spot per unit. This same neighbour suggested I park it on the actual sidewalk that...
Thanks rmemedic, glad to know. He's actually an old rider from years ago. Health issues have caused him to give it up. He's quite protective over my bike, so I know he'll not let anything happen to it. He doesn't have many people over at any given time. I just hate the thought of it so close...
I have a ground floor apt. My bike is parked along side the sidewalk (on my side) that I share with my direct neighbor. Well, he just bought this huge bbq. He's planning on putting it, maybe 5 - 8 ft away from my bike, on his side of "our" sidewalk. I don't like it, but he says it won't hurt...
My first time on the street with my first bike, I had a friend (over 20 years experience) come over to ride with me to the local Mall. I was so nervous, I really appreciated her there. She kept quiet, and just rode behind me. Once at the mall, she rode around at her end and I rode around at my...
