    supersport buying

With SS's the big things to look out for is fork seals, bent rims, steering head bearings, popping out of second gear, tires, chain, sprockets ( check front!), brake pads & fluid will give you a very good indication of maintenance

Help with finding a reasonable insurance quote?

Honestly you should just be happy that you could afford to ride at 21, I had to wait until I was 25 to ride a 250. Supersports really arn't feasible until you turn 25 and meet SF's criteria.

    snow blowers

I had a ~5hp single stage 2 stroke for almost 10 years and it worked OK, but not great. You constantly have to smash it into the snow bank to make it work and its annoying and exhausting. I got a 9hp 2 stage about 5 years ago and wow, what a difference. It doesn't care how much snow there is or...

Washed, filled the tank (ethanol free 91 + stabil), brake flush, plugged in tender, see you in spring.

Tank bag vs. Backpack for commuting to work

I hate tank bags with a passion. I find them bulky and hideous, that said I ride a SS and have this Dowco tail bag which works well for day trips/cottage weekends. Its a little big so I never really used it regularly and I don't like the idea of leaving it on. I found myself using a backpack to...

Stanley FatMax tool box on sale at CT

Probably one of the best scenarios of the employees having no idea whats going on. Tips snapped off, chrome sockets rounded, cracked and mushroomed. "uhhhhhh ok let me check if we have any more" "don't bother, here is the replacement, I've taken the liberty of getting it for you" "Thanks!"...

    Hi, just got my bike

Wrong way of looking at it, you should be starting on something that will PREPARE you for something that you want. Regardless, be safe and have fun at tim hortons.

First day on a motorcycle. Wow - why didn't I do this sooner?

I know it's hard with everyone in front holding up traffic but if you can stay slightly on the throttle through the turn that will eliminate the jerkiness and make your life easier. Glad you're having fun, I miss those days and the excitement of learning to ride.

2006-2011 GSXR service manual says to change the oil filter once every 18,000

I wouldn't leave it that long because if it becomes clogged the by-pass valve will open and guess what you'll be riding around without...For $15 and 10 mins tops, change it. I wonder what else you're neglecting due to laziness, theres a lot more to maintenance than oil and filters.
