How to pass or be passed by transport trucks

As said, there is a drawing in motion as you pass the rear of the truck and a pushing away feel as you pass the front. Give yourself some room (stay in left track). There is also turbulence that kind of bounces you around as you approach the truck's wake about 50' behind it. If you are prepared...

Montreal Taxi Driver Hit and Run

Both of them made bad choices along the way. But dumbass kid was at the disadvantage and yet he kept coming back. Shows you can't always predict what the other guy is going to do especially when you corner him. Car>pedestrian. I don't feel sorry for either of those idiots. BTW Car>motorbike...

    Solvent for removing stickers?

I don't know if it's available retail but you can check it out. Works great but be patient: http://www.rapidtac.com/products/remover.html Varsol usually works well on the residual glue too but most stickers need to be peeled off first because the remover won't penetrate through to the glue.

    Plastic supplier?

Cutting and drilling acrylic is best done with specialized blades or bits. If you are cutting the mirrored acrylic be sure the blade stroke or rotation is correct. Jigsaw would keep the mirrored side down and tablesaw mirrored side up. If using a tablesaw, keep your blade high. Then ease the...

    Camping with a bike

Maybe Arrowhead since there are lots of fun roads to Huntsville. Bike camping is about driving great roads all day and quick set-up and take down. Keep it simple. Like Rafiki said, those fuel canisters are a lot easier than white gas stoves. I use stuff from MEC. I bought a inflatable mattress...

    The "I've quit" thread

Some people don't get a chance to change. Some just die first. Addiction doesn't have to make sense. You can't be serious that you believe some people have some kind of immunity to becoming addicted to drugs. There are other things to be curious about. If you want a challenge go figure out women. ;)

    The "I've quit" thread

I have known a few people that smoked "socially" for years and did have control. They could go on and off no problem. My little brother did the same thing. Then they have something traumatic like losing a parent, divorce, etc and then they start. Cigarettes are one of those insidious things that...

    The "I've quit" thread

I consider myself an Ex Smoker and must always be wary of the possibility of starting again but as time goes by it's easier. I have a friend who started again after quitting over 11 years (he has since quit a few months after me). I was not wise enough to be a Non Smoker. I smoked for more than...

Anyone have good or bad experiences with Storage Locker Facilities?

I am looking to store some leather furniture for maybe up to a year and I am looking for a place that is not infested with mice, etc. Are they safe? Anyone have any recommendations or experiences good or bad with these kinds of places? I would prefer East end or Markham, North York, or Vaughn...

    newbie from North Carolina

Blue Ridge Parkway was one of my favourite rides ever. Lake Lure was awesome too. People here get excited with a few kilometers of twisties on the Forks of the Credit and Twyn Rivers and you have literally hundreds of miles of that kind of pavement and can ride almost the whole year too. Your...

Ok to Accept Certified Check as Payment?

True the money is there in the account at the time of certification. Certifying the cheque means the funds are then to an internal account of the bank that can no longer be accessed by the account holder. Don't take my word for it Google it. Of what value would a certified cheque be if it were...

Ok to Accept Certified Check as Payment?

Huh? I admit it has been a while since I worked in the bank but certified means that the money was removed from the account it was drawn on and placed in a separate account accessible only by the bank it was drawn on to be honoured in the future. The bank is obliged to honour payment. That...

    Emergency Home Phone Idea?

Yes, my BB Bold 9780 has that option. You should be able to set a custom ringtone for calls from her as well set the volume of calls from her to 9 or 10. The rest set to 1 if setting all calls to silent doesn't work. You can do the same for texts from her. There's a little speaker icon on your...
