You might be right on that, none of my bikes have track suspension. (FZ6, Grom and DRZ400SM) I guess it might work for some super sports then.

Do rumble strips really work for motorcycles? I've ridden on the ones on highways and residential streets and never noticed a difference in the feel of the road.

Another option is the DRZ400/DRZ400SM. Usually cheaper on insurance than a 250 and is a reliable bike. However I would recommend a 400-500cc bike like others have suggested.
