    Ruckus stolen! stolen? yes stolen

seems everyone laughs at anyone putting a lock on their cbr 125 becuase "who would steal a 125". well who would steal a 49?! yesterday at 2pm a van drove up to my girlfriends parking space, (it was raining so the scoot was at home) and they swiped it (lock/chain did nothing) we have video...

Its by victor. $5. Just bought.it and plugged my tire three days ago. Held up fine on the gardiner but Franky I wouldn't trust the Canadian tire.ones. I keep checking it. Tire needed replacing.months ago anyways so.I bought a.new one from Pete. Stop n go makes a really great mushroom plug kit...

Should I winterize or keep the bike running?

The only time you should be winterizing is if there's snow on the.ground. ;) and even then, it just means its time for a wimter scooter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I896 using Tapatalk

How do you keep your legs warm in fall/early winter?

off topic of pants lots of people complaining of cold digits. ditch the heated grips. gerbings G3 heated gloves. -20, toasty fingernails. like putting your hands in an oven.

    Looking for a tough motorcycle

you might want to consider the kawi versys if the v-strom is too tall. it's a little smaller, same 64hp, 'dual sport' and for city riding all the reviewers say it's more fun than the wee. as for power, I was originally looking at the wee, but my ninja 500 has 60hp, the wee has 64... on a bike...

What do you do for a living?

Where Stormcat? I'm in Advertising at an ad agency. 3d animator/ programmer coder, / flash programmer / jquery / anything that apparently involves a computer. spare time sculptor with work that travels the world but unfortunately art won't pay the rent, just for beers while I cry myself to...

    Winter Commuting - Scooters.

I'm really curious about this and opinions on how to make it work (not why not). we got a ruckus and insurance for the ex500 is 1200/yr jevco, ruckus 200/yr dejardins ! so it's really no big deal to insure one of them for the entire year and have a second vehicle. I can't imagine jevco or...

    Heated Grips or Heated Gloves

heated gloves are better than heated grips. no question. anyone that says otherwise hasn't had good gloves, hasn't had heated gloves, or packs it in too early. best thing is to have both. $30 kimpex grip heaters for mild cold, gerbings g3 for more. mid december with gerbings gloves my hands...

In case you were wondering about those big scoots.....

I know macdoc... 49cc is slightly off from 650cc that's why I said "if the big scoots are that much fun, I can see why you like them".

There are beginner friendly 600cc bikes???

One of many smaller reasons someone will suggest not a 600cc SS is the cost of repair. many new riders drop their first bike (or in the case of myself, had the kickstand melt through asphalt on a hot summer day). accidents happen and it's not fun to have a $4000 repair bill for some plastic. no...

In case you were wondering about those big scoots.....

took the GF's honda ruckus scooter out yesterday so she could practice in a parking area. WOW! fun! and it only goes 60km/h... but it doesn't matter. who cares if you look silly, it felt wrong how fun it was.. totally different. I felt like I was floating on a cloud of air, and the throttle...

    Cabbies.

straddling both lanes seems common, they hog the road and it's over aggressive, rarely signal, and are just generally confused as to where they are headed and how. I act accordingly and will cut off every single one I get a chance to. the thing that burns me (which it shouldn't) with cabbies...

    Tron legacy motorcycle jacket!!!

maybe in the mirror it does. to everyone else doing 50km/h in racing leathers looks ridiculous. Like others I'd rather get a smile for wearing a batman suit then look like a wannabe power ranger in leather pajamas. both are equally silly, one you clearly know you're being silly, one .. some don't.

In case you were wondering about those big scoots.....

We just got a ruckus for the stable.. not a big scoot.. just a little scoot.. and only 60km/h but with a new variator, belt, bigger carb, and cdi, it'll do 80km/h+ (totalruckus forum) which frankly, blows my mind for a 49cc. I wish I could swap a few parts on the ex500 and somehow make it go an...

Where is the best place to park a bike by the Ferry dock?

I've always wondered about that spot. I see bikes there too. is it a legal parking space? it's toronto after all and our parking enforcment needs to keep up their quotas so I've always just wondered, never tried...

Any Bluetooth options for full face helmets?

bugs the thread posted above details my review of mine. 2 units I bought are going strong after a year. $50/each. iphone/android etc music + phone + intercom. some people bought them from other sources than the place I bought it from and then had issues, but me and friends that bought from DX...

Maybe there would be less motorcycle deaths if the our speed limits were reasonable

if you want more speed a much more logical plan to me is the following: highway right lane 100, left lane legal up to 130-140.

    Safety Inspection

rosey toes is $80 if he comes to you, which, if you have no way to legally transport a bike yet, is great. (other than $200 tow) cyclewerx were too busy for a safety of the GF's scoot... so we called rosey and he came that night, done in 10minutes+chat. both times I've met him he's been great...
