I watched a GTR at Cayuga launch none stop (15 plus runs) no problems at all. Mildly modded, couldn't crack under 11sec quarters...(11.3's-11.2's).
I appreciate the car from a technical standpoint but for some reason it just doesn't turn my crank.
Keep your eyes peeled and have a well seasoned rider with you. If a bike has super low mileage but looks and sounds like its done 100000km = tach change.
lol sorry dude but when a bike is missing mechanical bits like a complete foot peg assembly....its beyond cosmetic.
To the OP, your looking at thousands in damage if you plan to put it back to original. fairings/tank/foot peg assembly etc...are gonna cost you a pretty penny. sucks man, i've...
I'm running Michelin Road 2's on a litre bike. I was getting sick of having to buy new tires every 5-6k so I thought I'd give them a try. So far, not a single complaint except it took some time to adjust to the rounder profile of the front tire. Riding style?, average... no real hooligan crap...
That's the problem, people need sub-600cc bikes for insurance purposes. I was quoted the same price for a ninja 650r as I was for a 600cc super sport because it was in the same displacement range....while a 500cc was almost half the price.
Looks good, I've been waiting for the manufacturers to step up and import nice looking 500cc starter bikes for years. I wish I had this wonderful array of beginner bikes to choose from when I started riding. Maybe it'll force suzuki/kawasaki to update their 500's?
Mac, I dont mean to be rude but damn....the way you take pictures of these girls while not looking and talk about their smiles and stuff...kiiiiinda creppy.
Lets ignore the officer for a minute and focus on what your buddy is doing. In weather like this, getting on the bike and doing a few rounds on a ramp is fine execpt the fact that those tires will cool within minutes of riding straight line(typical street riding). What he's doing is pretty much...
Times are tough and people are being squeezed left right and centre for everything, so when it comes to buying a bike people are trying to get the absolute best deal possible...even if it means low balling a seller in a attempt to save loot.
Sounds like your counting chickens before your eggs have even hatched. Error on the side of safety, you never know what the insurance companies are going to do next season and you don't wanna be out caught with your pants down. Wait till next season, find a bike you like and then get the quote...
