As a former helmet of mine, I can vouch for the K3sv, very comfortable and light, and I daresay a nice choice for beginners. My was plain black, though, no fancy references of Italian race riders.

I don't see problems with that, really. The majority of the UK relayed on that for transportation for at least 50 years, with no major consequences in terms of drastic population decline.
