Non-motorcycle question, tweens riding shotgun in a regular cab truck

lol, I have an acquaintance on the Local Regional Police force, I didn’t ask him - not that he wouldn’t have the “correct” answer, but if I were ever pulled over - what Authority would “my friends opinion” have against the Officer standing at the window of the truck? And besides, that’s a Favor...

Non-motorcycle question, tweens riding shotgun in a regular cab truck

that depends on the type the vehicle is equipped with. Base model trucks get a seat occupancy switch and a disable switch in the glove box. Higher trim level Sierra/Silverado got this weight monitoring system that mine is equipped with, no switch in the glove box. my girls are 10 - 12 lbs...

Non-motorcycle question, tweens riding shotgun in a regular cab truck

I borrowed my neighbors car, amazing how having a pick up truck in the driveway makes this trade an easy one.

    Buying first toolset

100%, anything labeled PowerFist should really be labeled Junk. The Propoint and Lisle stuff however, I've found to be excellent value.

Electric starter will not start cold engine

I wonder if there isn't enough crank rpm on electric start, would explain weak / missing spark - does the engine spin faster once the oil is up to temp? .

    What's a good first car?

Just went threw this process a few months ago, my wife has returning to work after a 10 year child rearing hiatus. Was looking for a tidy Toyota Rav4, really hard to find clean low milage used, less than 4 years old. That was the *if were going to spend money, lets get a really nice car* car...

1980 was Honda' first year with a 17 digit vin. I had my '83 CT70 insured with State Farm 2 years ago, for the princely sum of $22 a month.

The unofficial GTAM 1987 CBX250H maintenance thread

Having lived with the bike for almost a year since I last posted to this thread, I've noted: It wants to stall when coming off of choke from a cold start. It will stall when approaching a traffic light, 1 out of 100. The front suspension is lacking. Performance isn't what I'd hoped it would...

    Is my bike F'ed

I agree with DJM, this is a coolant leak that landed on the valve cover. A cooling system tester is cheaper than trailering your bike and paying someone to do the diagnoses. Pick up a Stant cooling system tester, track down a MAC or Snap On dealer and purchase the necessary adapter (take your...

    Bolt extractors

This is a generous offer, and the most likely method for success - assuming the stud has a small diameter (less than 10mm). What youre likely battling is bi-metallic corrosion, common where steel hardware is threaded into aluminum. Drilling into the stud to insert an extractor is only...

    1969 Honda CT90

You can wash the bearings out with degreaser, kerosene or diesel fuel if you wish to reuse them. Just do a thorough job. Track down a good sized sharpening stone (like old man on the porch, sharpening his favourite knife style sharpening stone), use it to remove the ragged bits of hardened...

Where to get a flywheel lightened?

Thanks everyone for the replies. It is a dirt bike flywheel. The bike I'm working on is rare - very rare, so I don't want someone who's inexperienced doing the work. I've always had them lightened by removing material from the circumference. Helps the engine to spin up quicker, notable...
