It really depends on what you're selling and the market value. Of course they're going to give you the lowest price they can since they need to make money off what they're buying from you.

I have a 4s as well. It's through Telus. Since the OS6 upgrade everything is way slower (email, FB, etc) and a couple of the games keep crashing the phone. I'm sure there will be some update shortly to fix certain bugs, only to screw up other things in the process.
