    Anybody bored?? (Gear Indicator)

Ya, it's glamorous. I have to beat the women off with a stick. I'll put in the auto-dim sensor as well. It looks like the total cost is about $10 for materials only. We'll see what happens when I put it on an actual bike.

    Anybody bored?? (Gear Indicator)

So this works. At least it works on my desk here as I pass a magnet back and forth on it. Unfortunately I made up the final PCB a little too quickly and found a few minor shortcomings, but it should be fine. My bike has an indicator built in, so this isn't for me. If someone else wants to be...

Bike positioning information.Brake and clutch lever ergonimics

I've seen a few of the Dave Moss suspension video's, but I saw this in the 'related' bar. Supposed to be changing brake pads, but he goes into long detail about cleaning the brake pistons. His recommendation is monthly on a daily driver. Well, I'm not doing it monthly, but the only time I do...

Bike positioning information.Brake and clutch lever ergonimics

I never really cared to adjust my current bike and they were slightly high, but I tried one of those cramp buster throttle attachments last year and found that when I had to turn my hand up to get to the brake, it brought my wrist down and turned the throttle. It was a surprise when I had to...

I tend to use a bit of bearing grease when putting together things like brake levers.

    Anyone out riding today?

Sweet! Definitely going out Friday/Saturday as long as the weather doesn't turn a 180 on us.

    Ride today?

Since they haven't been able to use the salt most of the winter they decided to dump half a seasons supply on the roads here in Pickering during the last snow/slush fall.

    Carbon Fiber Fun

Did he just use the tank cover for a mold and remove the tank cover after or is this just a wrap? If it's just a wrap, you might as well just use the faux carbon fiber wraps you can buy.

Garage insulation and heating please give me some advice

It's not equivalent to driving as there are inefficiencies that build up when moving a car at different speeds. The thing about electric heating is that it is almost 100% efficient, meaning that 100% of the energy gets converted to heat. It shouldn't matter in this case. A 4800W or a 1500W...

I don't understand why more sport bike people don't complain about the length of the jacket itself. It's big on me, but it's still too short for a sport bike, when you lean forward the back comes up. I still use the pants, but I use an MEC gore-tex jacket on top.

If you got it, no reason not to install it. Turn it on when you stop at Timmie's.

It's fairly odd that you would compare a motorcycle to a supercar and then call it stupid to do so. You should probably have just left at that from the beginning. The BMW S1000rr also has the second fastest time around the Top Gear test track. My response is simply to those people that...

    WiFi names........

At my friends place they had all sorts of good ones. His was VirusCity and even I had second thought about connecting to it. Also there was ADHD4Life and 'Air Canada Lounge' which was completely bizarre, since it was in Nashville.
