I'm considering getting a scott oiler so I can stop worrying about the chain so much. Doesn't matter rwhat time of day it is security patrols the garage pretty regularly. I've never gotten **** for working on my bike but I haven't tried a proper fluid change there yet.
I went from downtown Toronto to downtown Buffalo and back on a tank of gas on my VFR800 - I started and stopped at the same gas station and the low fuel light was on by the time I got back. So roughly 380km on a tank and I was going 140km/h more or less the entire time.
I have a set of Puma Size 11.5 motorcycle boots for sale, they fit true to size. I wore them once but my abnormally large legs are not a good fit for these.
$80 obo takes them...
Where do you clean/lube your chain, change your oil and do other maintenance on your bike? I used to have a garage before I moved to Toronto, now I have a parking stall for my bike barely wide enough to stand in.
All it takes is some hot weather and people turn into morons.... I had 3 close calls today, bringing the total to 3 close calls this season.
I was in a right turn lane, there was a younger girl in an old rusty pick up in the left lane that decided she changed her mind and tried to bolt into the...
When I bought my bike I sent the seller 3 Interac e-mail money transfers 3 days in a row and gave him the password when we met up and he signed over the ownership. It was cheaper than a certified cheque, you still have your paper trail and you don't even need to go to the bank.
I paid 8k for it, it was all stock except a fender eliminator and tank pad with 13k kilometers on it. it was mint and well maintained (still had the factory warning stickers on it), and most importantly its the exact color scheme I wanted
I drove it back from Kingston yesterday on a little less...
I picked up the VFR800 yesterday and did about 300km on it, honestly I haven't had a bike fit me so well in terms of ergos and my riding style. The V-Tec wasn't intrusive at all and it had more than enough power to keep me busy. Thanks for the suggestions!
I checked out some VFR800's and I've tentatively picked up a 2009 black & white VFR800 which I'll hopefully be picking up in 2 weeks. I'm not a small guy, I'm about 210lbs at 5'10" right now, and the VFR just fits like a good pair of pants. Thanks again for the suggestions, I'll keep everyone...
Apparently the 2006+ VFR800's refined the shift from 2 to 4 valves. This does look like the best all rounder for me at the moment, but crap are they expensive on the used market. I'll take a look at a few and see how I like them.
I've considered the VFR and I've always been hesitant about the VFR for 2 reasons:
1- its almost 200lbs heavier than something like the f4i
2 - I'm really skeptical of the VTEC technology, theres alot more that can go wrong with a VFR than any other bike
Maybe I should test one out before I...
Oh hey
So I just sold my bike, a 2011 Honda CBF600SA and before that I had middleweight cruisers. I've been riding for about 7 years now. The CBF was a really good predictable ride but it didn't really have much balls to it, and my biggest beef is that it's extremely hard to lean over.
I...
Oh hey
I used to live in Ottawa but moved to downtown Toronto for work last year, figured I'd join here to see if I could find any good riding routes and people to ride with
