Coming from a bent-over SS position Hyosung GT250R, I found that my F800R was immediately much more comfortable. Though pretty much any motorcycle would be better than an SS for long distance.
Bikes with fairings, big screens, and all that jazz would obviously be best for touring. However, I've...
I tend to commute on TTC and ride on the weekends. Whenever I commute on the bike I end up taking longer to get my stuff packed, gear on, bike ready, traffic, gear off, etc. Much more fun to save it and only ride when you've got at least a day to go out and have fun.
In Korea, take out soft drinks would come in a small plastic bag fitted for the drink. I'd hang that off of the passenger pegs. Food went in backpack. (Not useful to know for Canada, though.)
I do this on Bloor and St. Clair. Do it relatively slowly so you'll have time to react. Never had someone open a door on me but countless times people would not see me and merge into the right lane once they pass the parked cars.
Most people don't seem to care that you do it. There are...
I commuted by bike when living in South Korea. I was only a 10 minute ride and winters were warmer there than here (average 5-10°C). I'd bus or taxi (super cheap) when the weather was really rubbish. But I loved commuting.
Now back in Canada I find that it's much easier to just subway in. I...
State Farm also doesn't give a discount for the course. I'd have taken it if they did but I started riding in Canada with years of experience already. I'm spending the same money on a Total Control course instead :)
Last summer when I went to Florida:

T-Mobile: Pay us $20 for credit and then get $2/day for unlimited use subtracted each day you use it.
So yeah, just to to T-Mobile. iPhone is only EDGE speeds...
I'm a 2011 F800R owner and put on 25,000 km since I got it. It's absolutely fantastic in town and on the twisties. It's not bad on the 400 series highways; I'll typically ride out of Toronto on them to get to the twisties faster. You get lots of wind since it's naked (and the "windscreen"...
I noticed this yesterday. Withdrew $120 for a metro pass and immediately had trouble counting it. Then counting it again at the TTC booth the collector mentioned that it's not just me having trouble.
Etymotic has the new hf5 buds to replace the er6i. I had a pair for a couple of years until I snagged the cord. They were fantastic and stronger than the er6i buds that I had previously.
I replaced my hf5 broken ones with the newer mc5 buds. They were cheaper and I figured the quality would...
Agreed. It's definitely alienating. No loss of business though; GP has constantly proven to be the best in Toronto for me. I'd be annoyed if I worked for them though.
