You're right, it's such a rip off. Way cheaper to be left on your own to remember 20 turns your first time at the track. What's the worst that can happen? You crash. And we all know crashes cost way less than $30 to fix.

Drain it, leave the bottom hoses off and blow compressed air in thru the radiator opening. Probably doesn't need it but I do it anyway. Plug up the exhaust and ram air openings, if your bike has them. I leave my rubber on but I'm usually putting fresh stuff on in March anyway. Up on stands, plug...
Just yesterday morning (7am) someone started one of the aforementioned compactors about 20ft from my trailer, where I was sleeping. It was well away from his pit though so it was all good.
Calabogie pit area is just a huge car park. So it is nigh on impossible to have your generator 50ft away...
