What would trip the main house breaker?

The problem with generlink in many houses is the meter is very exposed to the street. That puts the generator (or a thick extension cord) in a very visible location that is easy for dirtbags to steal. I prefer transfer switches and wiring to allow you to locate the generator in a more secure and...

What would trip the main house breaker?

You can't fix stupid but you can make it really expensive.

What would trip the main house breaker?

Correct. In the first case, there is obviously most of your house still grid connected but the generator and grid are completely isolated.

What would trip the main house breaker?

And in fact, it would remove many of the surge loads when the power is reconnected. Even with the generator connected, I'd be surprised if the main blew. I would expect the grid to hammer the poor generator. A dumb generator would probably get pulled into phase almost instantly (big inrush...

Hi! Just bought Awesome priced gear you should all know about!!!!!

The business has a value beyond the building. They have a customer base, a recognizable brand, a history of sales, inventory, industry contacts, etc. For the right price, it's easier to buy a functional business than to start from scratch. It all comes down to money. It is possible that the...

    Appliance Repair

Some of the bosch dishwashers have something similar to a molex plug that the cord attaches to. They come with a plug but you can buy a replacement cord that terminates in a box/wires. It may just be crap installation with improper contact/torque. I don't know the cause.

Can a motorcycle insurance classification be changed/fixed?

And a cheap rate in year one doesn't guarantee a cheap rate in year two. Sadly, I would stay away from Aprilia rs as a new rider. The other bikes have a longer track record and more likely to have stable pricing.

Can a motorcycle insurance classification be changed/fixed?

Rates reference is real. Whether people pretend to be trans to game the system is the question.

What would trip the main house breaker?

Sadly, many of the ones I have seen have been crap installs. Installed far from input, longer than necessary wiring, etc. Adds cost to the install while adding minimal protection.

    Appliance Repair

Those brands are good. Some dishwashers are hardwired, some are plugged in, some are convertible with a kit. Make sure what you have matches what you need. Fwiw, bosch hardwire kit likes to burn so I would only plug in a Bosch. Is this a replacement or from scratch? There are a few more...

What would trip the main house breaker?

Is it one of the crap panels like stab-lok (probably too new for zinsco) or a brand that still exists?

Post up your liquor/spirit talk ?

When I got married, I bought my my best man a bottle of crown royal xr. It is still the most expensive bottle I have ever bought (a bit over $200 iirc).I am up at his cottage this weekend and we were going to open it. Thankfully (or not), we checked value before opening it. As it's a red label...

What would trip the main house breaker?

Swiss cheese model. When life safety is involved, put many obstacles in the path to ensure people don't get hurt. Aside from hurting people upstream, if you try to feed your house from two different out of phase sources (grid and generator), there is a giant impulse of power that needs to go...

What would trip the main house breaker?

While theoretically possible, it's mostly a myth. If you backfed into a dark grid, your generator would instantly trip as you are trying to power up every house on your transformer and potentially more upstream. When cres are working on the lines, they ground the lines to protect themselves...

Anyone caught out in this storm?

Fix how? Some are underpasses, some parts of dvp and train tracks end up in the river when flow is high enough. Environmental regulations block most solutions. Cost blocks the rest. Cheaper to close sections for a couple days a year.
