I haven't been able to track since covid started and I see track day prices are 260-280 now. Jesus is that normal now. Last time I went on track like Shannonville it was 180.

I never knew this was happening at the big tracks. And $350-$400 for the full-size racetracks like Calabogie and Area 27 out where I live.
There's also the worrying trend of racetracks going private and mandating them members-only like a horsepower country-club, limiting access to outside track day organizers. Big tracks like COTA, Willow Springs and Chuckwalla.
LOL, I remember when Rider's Choice had Mosport track days for $160 - the big track, not RDT. Back then, RDT was around $100. Sure miss those days.I haven't been able to track since covid started and I see track day prices are 260-280 now. Jesus is that normal now. Last time I went on track like Shannonville it was 180.

My Brother in law switched to dirt bikes. Cost to get on dirt track is cheaper and equipment is cheaper too. what do you guys think?
It's absolutely worth trying, even if you have to rent equipment until you're convinced it's something you want to spend enough time doing to invest in your own. I started on a dirt track and feel like I learned so much more than if I had started on the street. The lower traction limits and speeds really help you explore the limits with confidence, and it all translates to higher speeds on the tarmac. My Brother in law switched to dirt bikes. Depends on what you mean by dirt bikes mx track or trail riding? Mx track has a high chance of injury if you are fast.My Brother in law switched to dirt bikes. Cost to get on dirt track is cheaper and equipment is cheaper too. what do you guys think?
